Had a wonderful cozy stay in the shepherds hut with my partner. Was a very last minute stay, but Jayne was speedy with her communication and gave permission for my partner to fish in a pond over the road which he thoroughly enjoyed. Breakfast in the tearoom on site was included in the price too, and it was delicious. Would definitely recommend!
Perfect little place for a weekend away. Hot tub was a bonus. Pubs within walking distance which I would fully recommend. Can’t wait to return.
I have to say, this was the nicest surprise I've had in a while. The cottage is on a farm and a very peaceful and relaxing environment. The cottage itself lacks nothing. It is honestly better than any 5 star hotel. Jayne kindly packed the wood stove and left eggs, bread, butter, milk, filter coffee, tea etc....just incredible attention to detail so that you are left with nothing to do but savour every moment. Everything is immaculately clean and comfortable. The cottage has everything you need as a home from home... I look forward to staying again. Jacobs Pizza on Sunday afternoon was another...more
We visited the area to scatter Dad's ashes and Carpenters was a perfect location for us. Such a a beautiful cottage with everyone we needed including a fantastic hot tub tucked away in a fabulous private space. On arrival I was worried about being next to the main road but it wasn't a problem. The garden area and neighbouring donkeys were a real treat and we had a lovely evening stroll down to the mere. All together a lovely few days away with a fantastic host, thank you Jayne and family xx
