The living area is great with its outsized floor-to-ceiling, wall-to-wall windows overlooking the sea and mountains in the distance.
Beds and bathrooms are extremely comfy.
Location is a little less central than Portree to explore the island but very practical nevertheless with a large co-op for groceries and several restaurants and cafes nearby.

We are still talking about our magical 4-night stay at the Shorehouse. We are very picky, and it exceeded our expectations. Perfect comfort, cleanliness, and natural setting. We also really enjoyed being based in Broadford. It was super convenient for exploring all of Skye while also providing a nice nearby village setting that was super pleasant with the right amount of amenities. We enjoyed Claymore in particular for dinner one evening. If we return to Skye, we will not hesitate to stay, again. It was exactly what we'd been looking for in terms of upscale yet private lodging where we could unplug and have fires and romantic dinners in comfort and beauty.

We were very impressed with our stay at The Shorehouse, it was in a lovely location, very handy for the facilities in Broadford yet in a very quiet and peaceful spot with amazing views over Broadford Bay. The high tide comes up to the bottom of the garden path and lots of interesting wildlife are to be seen from the huge picture windows. The property was well maintained and we wanted for nothing during our weeks stay. It was our fourth visit to Skye and The Shorehouse was by far the best self catering accommodation we have stayed in on the Isle. We would not hesitate to recommend it.

The Shorehouse is in the most amazing location and the design and layout of the house makes the best of this. Un logement parfait pour visiter l'Ile de Skye! Ouvert sur le loch par d'immenses baies vitrées, tant dans la suite parentale que le séjour, on a l'impression permanente de vivre dehors en harmonie avec la nature tout en profitant du confort 5 étoiles d'un gîte haut de gamme. On est d'emblée transporté dans un rêve: le calme absolu, une vue incroyable, le spectacle permanent de la faune, avec de nombreux oiseaux, et même des phoques!
Il est rare de trouver un logement où tout est si bien pensé, dans l'idée de satisfaire les voyageurs, avec du mobilier haut de gamme, une décoration raffinée, une splendide cuisine très fonctionnelle, du linge de lit de très grande qualité...
Notre seul regret est de ne pas avoir prévu un séjour plus long...mais nous reviendrons!!!

This was our third stay at the Shorehouse. It’s very hard to beat in terms of views. It’s also very stylish, comfortable and immaculate. It’s a wonderful base to explore Skye as you are close to amenities but when you look out the windows it feels like you are in the middle of nowhere. We are already looking forward to our next visit.

The house was so beautiful, it was exactly like the pictures. At this time of year The Shorehouse is the perfect place to just "get away from it all" and chill out.... whatever the weather outside.... we were warm and cosy indoors. The Shorehouse is like a Big Hug wrapping itself around you. The views from the windows were amazing. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at The Shorehouse, it had everything we needed and more! Excellent location with multiple options for food and drink on the doorstep and a perfect base for exploring this beautiful island.
There were a couple of small issues that were attended to as soon as David and Fiona were made aware of them.
The only downside I guess might be the bedroom configurations which would not suit everyone.
I would certainly love to return one day!

This spacious rental provides a wonderful hub to travel the rest of Skye. My wife and I booked this 2-bedroom stay and we were thrilled upon arrival to see the breathtaking views from the large windows facing the water.
Not only is this lodging accessible to the rest of Skye, but it had ample parking, a number of walkable nearby amenities, and gracious hosts.
We would definitely stay here again.

There was nothing at The Shorehouse that we would have changed. This property is of the highest standard with exceptional views across the water and an ever changing backdrop. We returned to the Shore house for a second year, which tells you something about how much we enjoyed staying there. Big windows on the shore side of the house, together with tides that come up to the bottom of the garden, and easy access out on the beach to watch the seals, otters, oystercatchers and curlews make it a great location. It is not cheap, but worth it. We read that the accommodation was being reduced from 4-person to 2-person (while a hot tub was to be added). I would strongly suggest this is not a good move. We loved having other family members stay with us for a few nights while we stayed on Skye..... Please keep the ShoreHouse a 4-person holiday let!

Bowled over by how lovely The Shorehouse is. Could sit and look out of the window all day, it's like a perfect landscape painting. The property had everything we could have wanted, very clean, relaxing and tranquil. Had an issue with the bedroom heating (thermostat accidentally switch off), and it was resolved immediately by Fiona. I would love to sit on the porch in the summer watching the tide come in, with a glass of rose, was just it bit too cold at the beginning of April. Very well situated near restaurants, and a huge Co-op supermarket. Recommend the Hebridean Inn across the road.

The Shorehouse is a very special place. The house was immaculately clean, comfortable beds and a view to die for. We loved sitting out on the porch just watching the tide come and come.
The kitchen was fully equipped with everything you need, and the complimentary hamper was full of gorgeous snacks.
We would not hesitate to recommend this property. if you get a chance just book it, I doubt you will find a better place to stay on Skye.

We stayed here for our honeymoon and it was the perfect wee getaway. Quiet within the property, with stunning views to just sit and be peaceful throughout the day, but close to amenities.
The interior was tastefully designed, and lovely wee touches throughout such as the goody basket (all very tasty!) And the soft robes.
We'd love to come back again someday when we're just needing peace and quiet away from the rat race and to enjoy watching all the birds and wildlife. My husband had great fun taking lots of photos!

We had a fantastic week in Skye with The Shorehouse being an ideal place to base for the week. The views from the property are superb and many an evening was spent outside enjoying the scenery.
The welcome box was appreciated and every amenity needed was in the property which allowed us to prepare and cook meals every night and the local Co-op was handy for the things we missed.

The house is right on the waterfront and was great for walks on the beach and swimming. It was too windy to paddle board but that would have been possible right from the garden when the tide was in. The house was tastefully furnished and had everything needed for a very comfortable stay. The full length windows along the whole front of the house and the sheltered patio gave spectacular views of the sea, the mountains and the weather. Close to the Skye bridge and the ferry, would highly recommend this house for a stay on Skye.

Fabulous location, beautiful property and everything you need for a perfect holiday. When the weather isn’t perfect and you return cold and wet, the house embraces you in warmth and comfort. And the view is wonderful. Will definitely return.

If you are thinking of using your break at The Shorehouse to catch up on a book, or like me start a new embroidery project, think again. The property sits on the edge of Broadford Bay, which means the view through the huge picture windows is out of this world. We couldn’t take our eyes off the ever-changing scenery and wildlife, even when the heavens opened the view was still stunning. Take your wellies because you can step out of the property and straight into the scenery for a walk in the bay – after checking tide times. We travelled round most of Skye during our week and couldn’t find another property located in a better position for accessible views
The property is decorated and furnished in a contemporary way, which is right up our street. It is squeaky clean and very well equipped with the under floor heating making each room feel lovely and cosy. We can’t fault The Shorehouse and plan to make a return visit in the future for more rest, relaxation and more of those epic views.

My husband and I stay in holiday homes a lot. Mostly for business, and sometimes for pleasure, so we have a lot of experience in this environment. We booked a stay at the Shorehouse for a well earned holiday, and as we walked through the door we both exclaimed 'Wow!' . The location of the house, the internal layout, finish of property and internal furnishings and fittings, are truly luxury and perfection. My husband was singing the Shorehouses' praises all week, and it takes A LOT to impress him!
The quality of the bedding, the beds, the soft furnishings, the household equipment are exactly what I would choose myself. I have often been very disappointed when arriving at other holiday homes, as there seems to be a trend that it is 'ok' to provide sub-standard furnishing and fittings, as guests will only be here for a week or two. I wholeheartedly disagree- your stay should be at least as comfortable as you can provide in your own home, and any improvement on that is so very welcome and greatly appreciated.
The location of the Shorehouse is totally stunning- and instantly relaxing just to look out of the window at the ever changing sea and coastal vista. I could have spent a week just sitting on the sofa looking at the view alone. Absolute Bliss!!! Also, so many thanks for the exquisite, luxurious and very thoughtful hamper contents.

My family (2 adults & 2 children aged 12 & 6) had a fabulous week at The Shorehouse. The house is modern yet cozy & the location, being right on the shore as the name suggests, is quite amazing. We were entranced by how the view across the bay constantly changed due to tides & the weather. We could also spend hours sitting, just watching the birdlife on the bay. Broadford also seemed to be a good location to explore both the island & the mainland, being only a few miles from the bridge.
We found the people in Skye to be welcoming & hospitable, the landscape is breathtaking & there are plenty of amenities. If you've not been before, I highly recommend you go.

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Shorehouse. The location is perfect for visits all around Skye, and the property is so perfect for a couple or small family to be more than comfortable. The welcome hamper is a lovely bonus, and the property is of incredibly high quality. We'll never forget the evenings with incredible views to watch the tide come in with a log fire burning, perfect.

We had a fantastic break at The Shorthouse. The house is immaculate and is in the most perfect location with direct access to the bay. Everything we needed in the property was available. We were only sorry we had to leave!

This is a very nice property, very conveniently located just a few minutes outside Broadford. It has lovely views onto Broadford Bay and from the bottom of the garden you can walk straight onto the beach at low tide (take wellies!).
The property itself is well-kitted out. Plenty of parking for two cars if needed. Inside, the lounge is a lovely relaxing space to sit and watch the weather move across the landscape, with a woodburner to keep you warm and cosy. The galley kitchen is a decent size with two ovens, hob, dishwasher and fridge/freezer. Reasonably well stocked with cutlery/crockery but probably could have done with more cutlery and some more mugs. The welcome pack of treats and nibbles was a nice touch.
There is a children’s bedroom kitted out with bunk beds so more suitable for smaller people. The main bedroom is spacious with plenty of wardrobe space and a very nice en-suite with a copper bath and separate shower, all enjoying views over the beach.
Overall, a very nice property which I would recommend for 2 adults/2 smaller children - we found it a little cool and struggled to adjust the temperature and although the property is located conveniently for Broadford and its shops/services, it is just off quite a busy road, so the traffic noise is noticeable. There are certainly quieter locations on Skye.
The owners were very helpful through the booking and while we were there - one of the solar powered blinds ran out of power and somebody dropped off a power lead within a few minutes.

The Shorehouse is a dream of a property. Architecturally designed and with careful thought, to make the very most of the location and views, which are entirely uninterrupted. We were, not blessed with good weather, and coming back to this beautiful home, was an absolute joy! We couldn't fault it in any way, and can only thank the owners for creating such a perfect space to be enjoyed whilst visiting Skye.

Everything, from the moment you walk in to this tastefully decorated property, is perfect. All the small touches in the decor and soft furnishings, the welcome basket and the magnificent view are top notch. We loved it so much we didn't go out in the evening but sat, chatted, listened to the bird calls and watched the tide come in and out. Thank you for a wonderful stay in a wonderful property.

To have immediate access to the shore with 180 views from the North West Highlands to the Red Cuillins, be 20 yards from pub/restaurant and have all the amenities that you’d require in Broadford (which you are very well informed of by the owners)…all this with the fact that it’s really nicely finished and comfortable to stay in makes this place hard to beat.

Lovely new property in great location with floor to ceiling windows overlooking the bay at Broadford bringing the outside in. Lovely furnishings and linens and everything provided that you could need to make the most of a week on Skye
Luxurious but still practical, with a highlight being the big tin plated copper bath with views over the bay.
