This beautiful self-catering studio for two overlooks the water of Broadford Bay, with stunning views to the mountains and islands beyond. Bijou, but perfectly formed, the cabin is light and airy and is perfect for short stays. It is within easy walking distance of Broadford and makes a perfect base for exploring or just sitting and watching the wildlife.

We have not been in Skye for 30 years and we will not leave it so long next time. What a lovely little cabin and in a great location. The views are amazing, you can sit for hours just watching the sky change. The location was great and so fantastic, bakeries and restaurants nearby were so good so if you did not want to cook there is loads of choice. Loved it.

We spent two nights at the cabin, we had a great stay (-despite storm Floris! Fiona and David were very helpful during these particular few hours of heavy wind/rain and power outage).
The cabin had everything needed, the place was cosy and well furnished. The little private deck and the view are a big plus! Loved it.

This is our 2nd visit to the cabin and it’s like a little bit of heaven situated where it is looking across Broadford bay! Cannot fault it in any way and what more could you ask for when it’s straight across from the Hebridean Inn with its excellent food. We also ate in the Claymore and Cafesia & Siaway again both excellent. We will definitely be back!!

We spent a wonderful 7 days at Waterside Cabin Broadford in The Isle of Skye at the start of August. The location is amazing with a view over the estuary. We saw so many birds and also grey seals. The location is very convenient for all the major attractions on Skye. Also Broadford has a number of great options to eat including the Hebridean Inn opposite. The cabin is a great option for couples. We would definitely recommend.

I booked the cabin as a base for some hill-bagging - the weather wasn't kind, but it didn't matter because the cabin turned out to be a perfect place to stay in with a book and watch the constantly changing weather. The view from the cabin is superlative, the location is brilliant for local walks and for driving further afield and the cabin itself is a delight, with all kinds of thoughtful details and, most importantly, a seriously comfortable bed. I loved my stay here, and have already booked to return !

We visited mid March 2024.

The cabin is exactly as described in the booking.com advert. Situated a stone throw from the waterside we were graced with a variety of sea birds, which was made better by the fact the owners have provided binoculars. The view to wake up to in the mornings was amazing, coupled with star gazing at night. Very tranquil and just what we needed.

While close to the road, we were not bothered by any road noise, but again remember we were out of high season. The entrance to the cottage is steep and I can only imagine this being a bit of a challenge to get out during busier times; also being pebble you struggle for traction if trying to accelerate out (maybe just me, but worth a note).

The owners provided a booklet which was very informative, although on calling some of the local suggested food outlets, there were some no longer offering the same options, or were not open during our time of visit. I note that this was last updated in 2023 and may just need a review, but otherwise the book offered multiple options to eat, emergency numbers, and recommended walks in the area. Very nicely laid out and clear. We also were met with an amazing hamper the owner had arranged, which was more than generous and everything was of great quality.

Location wise, the cottage is situated close enough to everywhere on the island that we were able to enjoy day trips to everywhere and anywhere with ease. Just be aware that some of the roads on the maps look bigger than they are. Roads in general around the island however were surprisingly good. The main road to the Old Man of Storr was one of the best I've driven, a real joy.

The cottage has a gorgeous feel to it, very cozy, and although optional to use, we loved the little log fire effect burner they have. It offered us a lovely warm feel both in temperature and comfort. I mention temperature as the cottage does have a few drafts, maily through the waterside window doors. The thick curtains do negate this considerably and the cottage warms up fast, but it did mean we had to have them closed all evening rather than be able to enjoy the stars. These doors also were unable to be opened for some reason, which isn't an issue as you can walk around the cabin in 10 seconds but just of note.

The bed was high and firm, with amazing sheets. We have stayed in many locations and this one was up there with the top for bedding comfort for me. USB plugs next to the bed were also a welcome addition for phone charging.

The shower was both powerful and warm as well as very spacious. Only bathroom issue to mention here was there was no water coming from the sink hot water tap, and be aware the cold water is freezing cold, so cleaning teeth is an issue if sensitive.
A praise note for the owner; We did not have bath towels (the big ones) on our arrival, and within one hour of contacting the owner, we had several towels delivered. All fresh white and clean. Excellent service.

External to the cottage, we found a couple of eateries worth a note. The Claymore put ofers an interesting variety of food. I had a wild boar burger which was very impressive. The Harbour restaurant was pretty good and we revisited here. The food quality was superb even if the selection is a little limited, however you can clearly taste everything is homemade. Finally we ate every morning at the Deli Gasta cafe. Some days the food was good, others not so even for the same items, so it seems a little hit and miss, with high prices (I'm a bit stingy so may just be me). This was however the only place open at 9am in Broadford, so our options were limited. Its a cute cafe, but you might find you get less one day than the one before.

There is one petrol station close by. I didn't see many others of note around our travels, so would advise you fill up here. It was an ASDA when we visited, and had cheaper prices than the mainland counterparts.

All in all, an extremely comfortable and cozy stay. We have already recommended this place to friends. Slight downside was the draft, but if you're willing to close the curtains to make the cabin even more cozy, I don't see this being an issue.

Perfect cabin, very cosy and beautifully decorated. Extremely comfortable bed and lovely linen and towels. We struggled slightly with fridge space and wardrobe facility as we were continuing our break after our 3 days here. Cabin is in a nice wee village, plenty cafes and shops and a hotel with pub directly across the road. We had a lovely peaceful few days here.

The Waterside Cabin in Broadford Skye is one of the best places we’ve ever stayed, and we had one of our most memorable holidays since my wife and I met. The island and its surroundings are some of the most naturally beautiful we’ve ever laid eyes on. It truly felt like a privilege to have stayed here.

My only minor gripes would have to be the hot water being very hit and miss. Sometimes it’d be extremely hot, other times none-existent. Additionally, I would say the wooden clad areas of the cabin could do with a lick of paint, purely and simply because it was looking a little tired. However, these I must stress, are really nit picking. The cabin itself is well placed, spacious and has some of the most wonderful views I’ve ever seen! Oh, and maybe a small mention that although there is no oven, the Microwave doubles as a grill! We didn’t spot this for a good day or two.

Thank you for letting us stay, and we almost certainly will be back.

We had the best time staying in your little cottage! After a small issue with the wifi getting knocked offline by the cleaners, with David's assistance we were able to get back on line. The views are just gorgeous, especially when the tide comes in, but we also enjoyed the different birds that came when the tide was out and an entirely different group when the tide was in.

Broadford was a nice little town and we ate at Della Gasta, which was excellent - thank you for the recommendation. The co-op was convenient and we mostly made sandwiches in the cottage, after two weeks in three cities, we were a little tired of restaurants!

A couple of people brought their dogs in the surrounding cottages and we enjoyed watching them frolic on the tidal flats All in all a nice peaceful ending to our great UK adventure. Thanks for having us!

The cabin was the perfect place for a relaxing long weekend away. The inside is comfortable and cosy without feeling cramped, with stunning views across the bay out front. Even though it is close to the road you would not realise it, as you are well sheltered from any noise.
It provided a good base for exploring Skye and we would highly recommend the Red Skye Restaurant (though booking in advance is wise)

Had a great time in the cabin. The views from the cabin are fabulous and we were treated to snow on the mountains which made it special . If you plan to cook while you stay be aware that it’s two rings and a combination microwave . We found it no problem.

December on Skye does mean eating out in the evening is very limited so be prepared .

The place is so cosy and the view is amazing. You feel like you are a Robinson Crusoe in a 5-stars cabin!
You can't get tired of the well-preserved scenery : the sea and the birds keep you company, without mentioning the incredible pinkish sunset, and the all-day lights.
A peaceful place in heaven.

The cabin is well located. A bit far from the amenities (supermarket, places to eat) if your are by walk and want to discover Isle of Skye, but if you are in a good run, it is easy walking.

I definitely recommend this place for an unforgettable experience in Skye.

This is our second stay at Waterside Cabin as we loved our stay last summer so much.
The cabin is cosy , comfortable and clean. It's perfect for a couple. The views from the decking are beautiful and help to make it a really special place to stay.

Despite the weather being a bit wet and drab, we had a lovely stay. The cabin has all you need for a comfortable stay and the views are just beautiful.

Waterside Cabin is a excellent location in Harrapool looking over Broadford Bay you can sit and watch the weather roll in and out. Along with the bird life it’s an interesting window. Ideal if you intend eating out most of the time, the kitchen facilities are good but small scale. Comfy bed. Nice welcome gifts from the owners, fudge was gone in minutes. Great location for exploring Skye, lots of good restaurants close by but please make sure you check opening times and book in advance our wise you may struggle to eat. Co-op nearby for necessities and good fuel prices. Unfortunately we didn’t get very great weather but it’s Scotland and you just wait 10 minutes it changes but this didn’t dampen our spirits too much as we live in Scotland so just normal for us, just limited us as to what we could do. If you’d like a really nice treat The 3 Chimneys was a delight.

Waterside Cabin is very nicely fitted out. The essentials - particularly the bed and the shower - are perfect. But the best bit of all is the view, which changes through the day as the tide comes in and goes out. The location is convenient - being almost opposite a very good restaurant is a plus!

I booked the waterside cabin for 4 nights for my partners 30th as he had been wanting to stay for a long time. We honestly didn’t want to leave, it is so peaceful and the views on your doorstep are breathtaking! Everything we needed was here and there was a guide left by the owners of all the best food places and walks to try. (Red skye restaraunt for food and the fairy pools for a hike was our favourite!) We will definitely be coming back thats for sure!

We stayed at the waterside cabin following our wedding for a mini-moon. The cabin was beautifully decorated, spotlessly clean and had all of the bits you'd need.

The views from the cabin were amazing and we very much appreciated the binoculars for watching all of the wildlife. A very large well stocked co-op Is a 5 min drive /15 min walk away as well as some great pubs and cafes. A great base to explore Skye, we did sea kayaking just down the road in Armadale and visited the Kinloch Lodge for dinner one evening.

Thoroughly enjoyed our stay and hope to visit again soon!

We spent a lovely weekend here on Skye. Waterside cabin did not disappoint. Cosy and romantic, with uninterrupted views across the bay. We saw a lot of different seabirds. Kept an eye out for otters but they eluded us. A great escape from the humdrum.

The cabin was perfect for two people to make a base to explore Skye David and Fiona have made a lovely cosy cabin perfect to chill on the decking and walking to pubs and restaurants could not say a bad word and the lovely little touches like leaving cake and sweets was much appreciated

Just spent three days at the cabin and what a treat it was. Wonderful location and everything that one might require to have a comfortable stay. Photographs, although lovely, don’t do it justice. Some lovely coffee provided by the hosts and tasty fudge too. From the outset the communication relating to the stay was excellent and comprehensive. Property is just a few miles onto the island and easily found. Local Co-Op store and petrol station really good so shopping locally to support businesses was worthwhile and easy. Would and will I stay again? Absolutely. Wonderful place to base oneself. I have already been looking at future dates.
If you haven’t been to Skye before then just go. It’s beautiful. The cabin is a great place to start your journey into this stunning place.

Such an amazing space for a small break away. The cabin sits right beside the water, and it was such a treat to wake up and see the view after arriving when it was dark! You're within a walk of Broadford centre and there was so much to explore within the area. My only regret is that I didn't stay longer, I hope to be able to visit again!

Everything was just lovely, luckily we didn’t get wet on our stay, as drying clothes could have been an issue.
The setting, the accommodation, the facilities were everything we needed. Looking out to sea, you would think you were in the middle of nowhere, but superbly located with local services close by.

The cabin was just what we wanted as a place to relax in the evenings on Skye and to have a nice place to set off from each morning! We cooked, and found everything we needed. The bed was comfy, the shower was hot, the room was warm in the cold rain. We couldn't have asked for more.

The view is fantastic. The location is great for arriving via the Kyle of Lochash or Armadale, and with great access to the rest of the island in a car. We were a couple on honeymoon and it was just what we needed.

Lovely cabin, great views and very accessible location within the context of Skye.
David & Fiona were very responsive and helpful with the couple of small issues that needed clarification / resolution.

Beautiful view from the cabin of sea, mountains and birds - even from the bed! Cosy but well designed cabin so it doesn't feel cramped. It's evident that the owners have thought things through and provide nice touches. Location is good - near Broadford which has a good supermarket and a number of cafes, restaurants and craft shops.

This place is just incredible, so cosy, clean and nicely decorated. The views are amazing, on our second night the weather cleared and we just sat there for an hour or so watching the sun go down and the sky change colours. I’d highly recommend as somewhere to escape it all.
