Fabulous stay, very clean, comfortable, accessible. Perfect location to get about with great view. Great many birds if that’s your thing.
My wife and I spent a very enjoyable week at The Cottage Leachd and were delighted with the location and the beauty of the view from the cottage. There was a small tea room/grocery store/post office not far away as well as other places of interest.
We had a lovely holiday at Tanamuir in Strachur. It's our 4th visit to Strachur and this was probably the best holiday house we've stayed.in, although all have been good. There's everything you need at the cottage together witb a thoughtful Welcome Pack. The views alll around Argyll and Bute are wonderful and there's plenty to see and do, or just chill and enjoy the scenery.
The house is super comfortable and the interiors are beautifully curated with stunning views. We struggled a little with the heat wave so used the blinds early to keep heat down but a rare problem to have in UK We highly recommend little walk to Old Castle Lachlan near inver, which is on a B road nearby; and the Oystercatcher at otter ferry a bit further on. The nearest shop is 3.5 miles but well stocked Newton is lovely and peaceful and friendly community Had some concerns re the building site next door on arrival but they were considerate with noise and only there at the weekend so ...more
We were a family of 6 Adults 3 Children and 2 Dogs and the house had plenty of room for all of us. The kids enjoyed the chute in the garden and the tree house. We found some lovely walks up around the house too and it isn't too far down to the centre and water. We did walk back up a couple of times but some bits are quite steep for people who aren't in good health. All in all we had the best time making lovely memories and the house was the main part of that. Amanda was available via phone to speak to if you have any questions snd was very friendly.
My family and I, along with our dog, absolutely loved our time at The Moorings. It was idyllic being within a stones throw of the loch, we all enjoyed sitting out the front with a drink and a book or some drawing. There was also so much to explore locally too, with forests, waterfalls and of course castles:) The house itself was a joy to be in, so comfortable with so many extras that made it feel like a home away from home. Our host was responsive and so helpful which made our stay a truly stressfree break away from it all:)
A perfect cottage in the woods not far from the loch amazing wildlife if you want to see the red squirrels give them some nuts and they will entertain you… so many birds, jay , woodpecker. Nuthatch.tree creeper, coal tit, siskin and more. would definitely recommend and consider returning everything you need to relax and enjoy.
Missed the bench from back garden and the fan in the kitchen needs cleaned apart from that love the cottage.
