A lovely cottage , has everything you need Lovely quiet location, but not too far to anything. We would definitely stay again if we got the chance
Lovely house and lovely location. Two mins to the Jolly Sailors pub and three mins to the beach. Lots to explore in Suffolk and Norfolk, so idea location.
Harpers cottage is in a very quiet location nice and peaceful. There isn’t much in the village the pub isn’t open so you have to drive But there are nice walks over to the common which was nice for our dogs. This cottage is ok for two small dogs as it’s a very small place plus the garden isn’t adjacent to the cottage and padlocked ( inc garden furniture ) which was a hassle if you wanted to use the garden. The Bad: Overall clean but lots of cobwebs around skylights in 2nd bedroom & high up in bathroom, bit of dust on skirting in cloakroom, many dirty cups & glasses. Hoover clogged with dog fur & needed emptying and rollers removed to unclog. Kitchen cupboards with equipment were a jumbled mess, lots of parts of things. Nonstick on pans too worn to use. Lots of dust on the back of the TV, (can only see it when TV turned to use in dinning room). Rotary dryer covered in cobwebs and dirt, no hole for it to go in. Welcome pack was nice thanks All very clean and bed very comfortable Liked the colourful curtains ! There was nowhere to hang coats or robes so hooks in lounge and bathroom would be good Also if renting separately from main house there is little privacy as door is glass so a blind would help
Wonderful quirky cottage. Lots of space inside and out. The dog loved the garden, she's a foiled escapologist this time, which is great. Kitchen was very well equipped and the beds were really comfortable.
Beautiful location, despite bring next to another cabin felt private. Lovely big comfy bed, we enjoyed the views from the window, watching the birds feed. Does lack thoughtful finishing touches, though. And the shower isn't powerful or hot enough at all. Hot water only available at certain times which felt restrictive and limited when we could use the hot tub since we couldn't shower after. Owner took over 5 hours to message back to an issue too. Overall a nice stay but we wouldn't return. Not the best value for money.
We, family of 4 stayed during the New Years week 2024/25, Nice cottage, you get exactly what you see in the pictures. Loved the jacuzzi in the garden - looking at the stars on a cold night! We found the bedding to be lacking comfort (very hard) and also the living area is tiny for 4 people.
