Heidi Corner is a little piece of doggy welcoming heaven by the sea. Situated a short 350 step stroll to the dunes of Winterton, the property is a stunning mixture of modern luxury and charming seaside decor, with all the mod cons you might need. Outside there is a very secure back garden, lounge set, private 5 person hot tub and lit pergola, so in the still of night you can soak in the tub and listen to the waves and seals on the beach.

Loved everything about the house and location, superb modern house with an ace Hot Tub but only minutes from the beach, pub and resorts.

The Welcome Pack and Doggy items were such a lovely touch.

This is our 2nd time here with our dog bella. We absolutely love it here..everything you need for your pooch is here.

We had a wonderful stay. The house was lovely, comfortably furnished and the perfect spot for a beach holiday. A stones throw from the dunes. If heaven was a place on earth this beach would be it. Absolutely stunning beach. Will be back for sure but probably to a bigger property as there quite likely will be more of us. A wonderful few days away.

Having read all the reviews and seen a 5 star rating we expected top class.
No variety of dog beds, no outdoor shower, no maintenance of garden, no coffee machine, hob chipped, front door badly sticking. Paid for 7 nights but you only get 6.5 as not allowed in till 4.30pm and must leave by 9am! That said, a beautiful location and village very dog friendly. If the cottage promised as detailed in website then we would return.

Hi Barry, Thanks for your review. We feel we must correct a few things, though. Before any guest arrives, we email to ask if they would like any dog beds or crates left out, to which you didn't reply. This is a shame as Heidi Corner is one of the best-stocked houses we manage, and it has 3 crates and a selection of 9 very lovely new dog beds in the garage. If you had asked us for one, we would have left one out for you as we do with all our guests. You didn't mention this in any of the emails you sent us whilst in situ either. As mentioned in our emails, the outdoor shower was being fixed, which we emailed you in advance to advise. There is another outside tap next to the hot tub, which you could have used for dog/feet washing. The coffee machine was damaged by a previous guest, as also advised in our email to you, but has now been fixed. The front door needs a little nudge as living right near a beach/salty air can have that effect, but it does not stick badly. Most self-catering houses have a 6-hour changeover, and you arrived at 4 pm, so very clearly had 7 nights. Had you asked for a later checkout, we could have facilitated this. We have many wonderful 5-star reviews for Heidi Corner, so it is a shame you left such a negative one. It's also a shame you gave us a score of 3 for service when we responded to every email you sent and emailed before your stay to advise you of several unavoidable issues - which you acknowledged and thanked us for. You also said you would like to return. You emailed us to ask why we hadn't provided your dog with biscuits but forgot to thank us for the £30 hamper that we did leave full of dog chews and other lovely local produce - which is a real shame. We aren't required to leave any hamper due to the property being self-catering, but we do so as a kind gesture on behalf of the owner. We also supply you with a huge range of doggy accessories, bespoke toiletries, dressing gowns, and so many other lovely extras, which are above and beyond what is needed in self-catering property, so we are very sorry we forgot to add biscuits too. We recently stayed at Heidi Corner, a really lovely little cottage in an excellent location for exploring and coming home to. The cottage was super dog friendly and made the holiday a real pleasure for myself, husband and pup!! If the dog’s happy we are to!! Would definitely recommend

Me, my husband & our 2 Spaniels really enjoyed our stay at Heidi Corner in Winterton-on-Sea and I am honestly struggling to think of a single remotely negative thing to think about our stay there! The space was absolutely perfect for us, the house was spotless and it definitely felt like home from home incl the big TV and being able to sign into Netflix! Heidi Corner's location is fantastic as you are quite literally 2 mins walk straight into the wonderful landscape of the Winterton Dunes and from there you just walk straight out onto the beautiful, wide, white sand beach. It is also just a few mins walk to the well stocked shop, Poppys cafe/post office/shop and the Fish & Chip shop (1st class chips!!), and it is just a short walk from there to the Fishermans Return pub which is very dog friendly (incl complimentary treats!) and serves good ales as well as good quality food (great salad bar for which you receive a bowl with your meal). Further afield we enjoyed day trips out to Norwich, a boat trip out on the Broads from Wroxham and exploring the villages North of Winterton, all within 30 mins drive. Plus an absolute must, to walk along the beach/up on the beach side of the dunes (to keep a safe distance, especially with dogs) between Winterton and Horsey and watch the seals on the beach, a wonderful sight!

My daughter found this booking for us and what a little gem she found.
The house was beautiful it has everything you could think of and more. The beds were comfy it was like home from home.
This home has got to be the best dog-friendly place we have stayed in, it was immaculate.
We loved the dog tags on the collar with the address on such a brilliant idea in case your pet gets lost. Also, the welcome pack was lovely. We will definitely be returning later on in the year. Thank you so much for a wonderful stay.

We are sorry you didn't find the Heidi sofas comfortable, but they are less than a year old and gorgeous Italian leather sofas which are often commented on, although we have taken your comments on board. We will also check the towel rail. Had you let us know while you were staying we could've had our handy man pop over to sort it for you :)

This is a lovely little house in a perfect location for walks on the dunes and beach. It literally takes 2 minutes to the dunes, our dogs had the best time! They also loved the really comfy dog beds provided!

The house has everything you need, the kitchen is particularly good compared to other holiday cottages we’ve stayed in. The hot tub is really private and being covered means you can enjoy it even in bad weather. The welcome basket for people and dogs was also lovely and generous.

A few things to bear in mind when booking. Because the house is right in the village and surrounded by neighbours (several of whom had barky dogs!) it may not suit people with reactive dogs or who like to be able to sit out in the garden in quiet. The upstairs is small with limited room for clothes storage so definitely better suited to a couple (or with a small child) than perhaps 2 couples or bigger kids! Finally, the check in time was 4.30 and checkout 9am which seemed quite late/early compared to other places we’ve stayed, and you have to strip the beds etc in the morning so it’s not the most relaxing final morning.

We had a great time, and as the location was so perfect, we will definitely be back!

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Heidi corner. As a young family with a toddler and a big puppy we felt very comfortable all week and the location is superb! With the beach only minutes away we had some lovely walks right on our doorstep. The fish and chips shop in Winterton is also fantastic and well worth the wait (we ate there twice in our week stay!).

Puppy couldn’t have asked for more and was so well catered to which meant we didn’t have to travel with his crate, bed and food bowls etc. - big bonus!

The kitchen is well equipped with a dishwasher and washer/dryer which all come in very handy. The welcome pack was also superb, truly making it feel like a home-from-home.

The hot tub is a wonderful treat and needed after the long walks and busy days! Every where was spotless when we arrived, the beds are very comfy and the whole house is decorated to an exceptional standard but still very cosy. The contemporary touches all around such as the Bombay Sapphire lights in the living room add a lovely unique touch, making it such a cosy yet cool and quirky place to be.

We wouldn’t hesitate to recommend Heidi corner and will most certainly be back soon!

This was our second visit to this lovely little cottage because we loved it so much the previous year. We love the location, it’s perfect for miles of gorgeous dog walking on the beach, dunes or surrounding countryside. The hot tub is a great addition, tucked away in a lovely little private space in the garden. The accommodation has everything you could need for a comfortable stay

My husband and I stayed at Heidi cottage 9-16 October 2021 with our 2 x Labrador’s (Marley and Bear)

WOW What can I say, the property was immaculate and there was everything you could think of that you would have in your own home. With the added bonus of the hot tub which was an absolute godsend after long walks.

The dogs even had high quality dogbeds to sleep on, and boy did they need them After racing up and down the beach.

We couldn’t believe how close we were to the dunes and the sea.

Any queries the admin team were on it immediately.

We will definitely be returning again.

Amazing break ! The cottage is beautiful extremely clean and the interior design is beautiful.
The area is also beautiful lots of beach walks and the Seal Colony is an amazing sight.

We loved having a shower in the garden after a walk at the beach and it’s so warm and relaxing.
Thank you for letting us stay in this beautiful property we had so much fun on our first doggy holiday it was so awesome mum and dad could take us!

The beach was only 5 minute walk & it was truly beautiful. Watching the seals in their natural habitat was amazing!
