A group of old school and uni friends come here every year and it's always brilliant. There is a pub/restaurant directly opposite, a cheese and beer shop below, and you can walk to Kinder Scout from the accommodation. It really has everything you need! New Mills has some decent eateries and pubs, and the Torr Vale Mill is set into a stunning valley and hydro.
We already love Torr Vale Mill, so having the option to add these cottage stays on for our wedding for us and our guests was a no brainer. We loved the fact the Lean-To house was our getting ready location, and meant we had a space that we could access during the day to change/pick up items if needed. Bed was super comfy and shower hot!
I thoroughly enjoyed my stay here, the suite was lovely and cosy with brick walls and windows with views of the stunning grounds. It feels like stepping into its own little world. The restaurant was great as well! Thanks for a lovely well needed rest :)
Torr Vale Mill is a unique location, the longest working cotton mill now renovated in a gorge in the middle of the town. The Fireman's House is not recently renovated but is comfortable and has it's own parking space outside although you have to reverse into it downhill. There is plenty of other parking available too and the office is right next door so there is someone close by to help if you need anything, that is always a plus.
