The Old Workshop provided excellent accommodation for a group of 7 friends. It’s a place with bags of character inside and out. All facilities in good condition. The booking process was very easy and the team very helpful. New Mills is a fascinating little town and very convenient for the Peak District.
The room was extremely clean & spacious with a very comfy bed & very nice for us as we only stayed for a short time, however, if we had been staying longer it would have been nice to have some seating other than the bed and maybe a desk for people travelling for work. We were also not given a wi-fi code - ok for one night but not for longer stays. The room is up a lot of outside steps which was fine for us but might be an issue for less able travellers. Last minute booking. Happy with property and great dog walking area. Very quiet place to stay with adequate parking.
I stayed here the night before my wedding, and we stayed here the night after. I had stayed at the Mill before and then we had decided to hold our wedding there. It was very exciting to arrive and find it all set up for getting ready in the morning. The bed is very comfy and the shower room is nice. The second bedroom was set up as a dressing area, but has a day bed with truckle that can be used. Of course, I hardly slept on the first night there, and I woke up early. This was not the fault of the apartment! Breakfast is served in Torr Vale Tap which is a 30 second walk away. You have to hand...more
