Owl barn was perfect for what we needed. In a great location within a few minutes walk of morston quay, opposite morston hall and near by all the main places to go. It was comfortable and had everything we needed for our stay.
We arrived on a cold winter evening in December. The house was beautifully lit and importantly, warm. The parking is tight but that’s to be expected in Wells, there’s room for two Golf size cars. The two living areas are both excellent, we lit the log burner in one which added to the coziness. All bedrooms are excellent, as are the bathrooms. We cooked large meals in the kitchen, it was very well equipped. The little garden would be lovely in the summer, if it were me, I would probably invest in upgrading this part of the property further as it’s a great size, however it was perfect for our wi...more
We had a very enjoyable stay at Halcyon House. The house was very comfortable and in a great location for exploring the North Norfolk coastline from one end to the other. The shops were nearby and it was easy to walk to Sheringham Country Park from the door. The owners were very clear that dogs should not go upstairs and helpfully provided a stairgate. Ours were not happy to stay on their own in a strange place so I was happy to sleep on the sofa bed which was quite comfortable and meant that they did not wake at 4am whining at the Bottom of the stairs :) The garden was small but perfectly sec...more
Beautiful little hideaway in a charming village setting. Only negative comment is that the sofa is not very comfortable but a minor issue. Local pub, The Red Lion, were very welcoming and the food excellent. Carol singing on Christmas Eve was lovely. Christmas tree set up in the cottage was a thoughtful touch, as well as the wood burner set and ready to be fired up. Would we visit again……yes definitely.
We spent a most enjoyable week in Legion Cottage. The location, just off the High Street is quiet despite being adjacent to the British Legion/Harbour Rooms. The house is well equipped with appliances and well maintained. Both bedrooms benefit from en-suite bathrooms and there’s a WC downstairs! Beds are very comfortable and there’s an ample supply of towels. The kitchen could do with more (less stained) mugs but that’s a minor detail. The house comes with a dedicated parking space in the Harbour Rooms car park but we couldn’t unlock the bollard (reported). Overall a very good house which I ...more
Great little cottage with a lovely garden leading down to a river. Good base for exploring North Norfolk
We enjoyed our 3 night stay . The cottage was located in a lovely peaceful location . Our dog enjoyed her walks & loved the cottage . All in all a very welcome 3 nights in Norfolk in Garden Cottage with a beautiful garden for us to enjoy & for our dog to securely run round in .
Lovely cottage in great location with a beautiful cottage garden, parking is nearby on the Greenway.
We thoroughly enjoyed our stay in Bakers Yard. The house was located within a quiet group of houses but conveniently, only 400 yards from the quay and shops There was a lovely view of the river and walk to the beach from our window and it was an excellent base to visit beaches and lots of places of interest in north Norfolk. The house was extremely comfortable and well equipped - a real home from home.
Very enjoyable stay in a location we know well made even better by the weather!! Would recommend property and the two nearby pubs for food.
Overall a great place to stay explore the North Norfolk coast. Spacious, quiet, clean cottage with private, enclosed garden for the dog (and bbqs). One main grumble is the en suite shower room. Water from the shower drains towards the basin and toilet, accumulating there, leaving the toilet area permanently wet. This meant we could not really use this bathroom except for showers. For those with children or needing quality wifi, please manage expectations as it is poor. We didn’t, so it was ok for us. Finally, we had an older family member with us and a couple of footstools in the l...more
Cottage is located right on the main road which can get very busy and traffic noise really disturbing. I left a day early because I couldn't put up with the noise any longer. Inside was clean but a bit scruffy e.g. the curtains don't fit very well. The lighting isn't good, one small table lamp in each room which isn't bright enough to read by and the main overhead lights very bright and not particularly relaxing. The shower could do with a usable shelf as everything has to go on the floor. The little garden is pretty and secure for dogs and there is plenty of equipment.
A well located cottage, close to the coast and plenty of local walks. Has everything you need for a comfortable stay. The garden is fully enclosed and dog friendly. Bed in main bedroom is huge and very comfortable. Binham is so quiet- very relaxing. Short walk to the priory. The welcome pack was very nice. Highly recommend.
Return visit to Harvey cottage. Comfortable accommodation, great location. Shower in bathroom could do with updating .
Large, comfortable and well equipped property in lovely small development. Location very convenient for the whole area.
Lovely cottage, it was very relaxing and the selection of local books was a bonus, more of a personal touch. Home from home. Thank you for the Apple Juice and goodies.
I stayed here with all ages of my family and had a fantastic time.there are 2 great pubs in walking distance, the coast is not far away too.the actual barns are fantastic and everything you need is there have booked again for next year as had such a good time
We booked the Riding Stable for immediate family to come and join us for my daughter’s wedding. The site is beautiful and quiet - and they could bring the family dog (and niece!) The private garden was spacious, well kept and child and pet secure, and there was also a big communal garden we could all spread out into! Inside the Riding Stable was gorgeous - I heard a lot of “wows” as relatives came in - and the ground floor was beautifully designed to be comfortable for all those staying with lots of sofas, a big family table, bi-folding doors to the private garden and a well equipped kitchen w...more
Great location for a family holiday.Wonderful gardens great playing area for the children Very quiet and peaceful location.
What a great place to stay! Lovely location, tidy clean property with plenty of space to humans and dogs. Enjoyed the walk around the permissive farm paths. Would definitely stay again
We really enjoyed our holiday in Norfolk staying in Rose Cottage. We loved the location, the garden, the comfy bed and having two bathrooms. The cottage was well equipped and clean. We were slightly concerned about parking right on the road and would not have wanted to get children in and out of the car. Useful feedback to owners/managers - the seal around kitchen sink plug has perished meaning sink won't hold water. Needs replacement or provide washing up bowl. Garden shrubs and hedges were very overgrown and untidy. The garden would be amazing with a bit of a tidy up. Some fencing damage a...more
This is the second year we have stayed at Cley Corner Cottage. Many aspects of it are ideal, in particular the location, but we were a bit disconcerted to find no updates since last year. The broken shelf in the fridge door and the shortage of food storage space in the kitchen had an impact because we prefer to eat in rather than out in the evenings. The fridge was packed to capacity and other food supplies were stored on the window sill and in the shopping bags. Additionally, many of the frying pans do not have flat bottoms which makes their use on the ceramic hob very difficult. Most o...more
We have stayed at April Cottage twice this year the first being in March my only criticism then was that a handrail would be good for the shower area in the bath. I was pleased to see that one had been installed upon our arrival for our latest stay. The Cottage has everything you need for your base in North Norfolk. Comfortable, quiet with plenty of room for 3 or 4 adults. It's well equipped and there is a decent pub within a short walk. Fakenham is only 10 minutes away where you will find a large Tesco for all your needs.
