A beautifully appointed barn in a lovely quiet location. The barn is a great size with all the emenities you need for a short stay. We loved the little welcome pack of juice, cake, biscuits, milk, tea, coffee etc. It was also useful to have access to cleaning materials (left under kitchen sink). The barn doors opening giving a nice glimpse of Morston Hall Hotel really bought the outside in, and we loved the open plan feel upstairs. It is very well located, only a very short walk to Morston Quay and onto the coastal path that takes you to Blakeney etc. We had a truly relaxing stay here and ...more
A wonderful cottage and for 3 generations to stay. The location was perfect with Stiffkey stores selling patisseries 7 days a week and the pub down the road. The garden with the river at the end was beautiful, we regularly saw dunks and swans. The kids (aged 3 and 7) loved the play house and playing in this safe space. Inside the cottage was very comfortable and clean. We would definitely come back!
Well equipped cottage, well furnished and comfortable. Everything you need and lots of useful information and help clearly displayed inside the cottage. Nicely situated in walking distance of Holt centre with pretty gardens. Pity the weather was too wet to enjoy sitting outside - wish you could book sunny weather as well! We will be back. Thanks to the friendly staff when I rang to check out of hours contact details. Please check supplied front door key - was a bit sticky in the lock either locking or unlocking. All perfect except a late check in of 5pm (different from 4pm on cottages.co...more
The cottage was exceptionally well-equipped, although we could have done with a washing-up bowl and somewhere to put soap in the shower. It's in a convenient location for accessing parts of the coast, and the front garden is very pretty - it's just a shame it's so close to the road where traffic was sometimes noisy and smelly. We often sat in the tiny back garden. We thought it was expensive for what it was. The second bedroom was very small, and there is no dishwasher. Overall, a pleasant, comfortable place to stay.
We stayed at Williams Barn for the weekend in august, the house suited our multi generational family perfectly (ages 18months to 86years & 2 dogs). The house has plenty of parking and gorgeous gardens, it’s opposite a very local pub (wouldn’t necessarily recommend for dinner but don’t let that put you off… we are big foodies) but also within 10/15 mins of a number of towns, amenities, and beaches. The house itself has two downstairs bedrooms, both with en-suite, a fantastically cosy lounge with Woodburner, handy utility with wine fridge and washer/dryer, downstairs loo and large kitchen with g...more
We had the most wonderful week at 6 Baker's Yard. The property was very comfortable, spacious, clean, really well equipped and in a great location. We wouldn't hesitate to recommend to others and to revisit another time.
Our third stay at Legion Cottage which indicates our satisfaction of the property and why we keep returning Due to the superb weather this year we spent much time in the rear patio/garden for breakfast and evening drinks. This drew our attention to the lack of maintenance of the patio and the lack of a parasol for the garden table. Minor points but the only slight criticism worth mentioning
Fabulous stay. Cottage very comfortable and in excellent location. Close to the coast with a lovely village shop and pub. Courtyard garden quiet and peaceful. Cottage has everything you need and we will definitely be visiting again.
Overall this is a very good holiday location, albeit at the upper end of the price range. Superbly located near all the good local venues, well presented and in good condition. The children's play area was a good addition and all topped off with a nice welcome pack. It contributed well to an excellent family birthday celebration.
We had a fantastic 5 days and 4 nights in Chaff House and were pleasantly surprised when we arrived at what we found. Communications before hand were excellent and everything was where it was suppoosed to be. The house/barn conversion itself was open and spacious. Bedrooms were adequate although some may say small (not an issue for us) and the only minor critiscism is the quality of the bath towels. Fantastic for the dog with a safe and walled garden. Loads of places to walk locally down quiet lanes and on footpaths. Lots to do in the surrounding area. Highly recommend.
We had a lovely stay in Butterfly Barn, helped enormously by the beautiful weather! We really enjoyed the location. It was very peaceful but close to everything we wanted. The service from Norfolk Stay was excellent. The barn was very clean, well equipped but felt a bit tired and unloved. A few little extra touches would have made our stay feel a bit more special. We will definitely come back to Norfolk and will book with Norfolk Stay but we won’t come back to Butterfly Barn.
Garden Cottage is situated in a very quiet and charming area of North Norfolk some 3 miles south of Sheringham. The cottage is well equipped, and always very clean on arrival. Has a pleasant garden mainly down to grass which is frequently cut.
Overall, we enjoyed our stay at the Wash House for the last week in August. Kitchen was well stocked with crockery and cutlery, nice big kitchen table, beds were comfortable and water pressure for showers were good. The Wash House could do though do with being updated: microwave should be changed for one with a digital timer so you can properly time things (it also had splatters from previous guests so hadn't been properly cleaned); (LED?) ceiling lights in the kitchen and family bathroom were dim so not great especially in the kitchen at dusk; family bathroom had a dripping tap in the bas...more
Started with a negative - the keys were wedged in the key lock so tool some time, a phone call to the office and a lot of jiggling to get it open. Cottage is lovely, well presented and comfortable. Its location, central to the coast road, the lovely pub and stores and the salt marshes was great. There were some cleanliness issues - extensive cobwebs on the floor/ skirting areas and previous occupants belongings found on the floor (hairgrip etc) pointing to a quick floor cleaning rather than a more thorough clean. The manual was very helpful when working out some equipment. The small ba...more
Very nice house fantastic super king bed. Quiet village location. Great garden for children. Only problem was the washing machine did not work and was not repaired whilst we were there. Will rent this property again.
We were very fortunate with the weather. This was our second stay at Harvey cottage. We really like the peace and comfort of the cottage. There is a welcome pack of wine and goodies which is a nice touch. It is in a good location for visiting the coast as well as the countryside. Hopefully, we will return a third time next year.
I had a weeks stay here with my wife and six year old. The property had character and was located close to the seaside towns of Sheringham and Cromer. Id say it was adequate in size for the three of us and well equipped. There was a decent sized garden with a lawn for me and my six year old to play games on. On the downside, the property was a bit grubby in areas and could do with some updating.
We've always booked with large well known companies so I was a little dubious about booking with Norfolk Stay, I needn't have worried as the booking process was easy and smooth. Cley Corner Cottage is a bird/nature watchers paradise. The view from the front bedroom window across the saltmarsh out to sea is stunning, it can even be seen from lying in bed! Waking in the morning and watching a pair of marsh harriers swooping over the marshes and hares relaxing in the morning sun with a large variety of wading and sea birds was amazing. The cottage was warm and had everything we needed, loved the ...more
Lovely property in a great location for walking the North Norfolk coastal path and visiting towns and villages in the area. Very spacious with small enclosed garden which was very suitable for our three dogs opening off the open plan living area.Very comfortable beds. Plenty of parking space outside and within half a mile walking distance in either direction of two local pubs. Loads of good eateries in the area with a special shout out to the Wheatsheaf in West Beckham and further afield the Ship in Weybourne and the Dun Cow in Salthouse ( although parking limited at the last two in busy times...more
We had a wonderful week in Norfolk. The local beaches are beautiful and the coastal paths provided great walks. Everything was in easy reach and despite being high summer nowhere seemed crowded. The local village is expensive so I’d advise taking as much as you can for the fridge beforehand. The cottage is very nicely decorated, well equipped and clean. The garden is lovely and we enjoyed sitting outside in the evening. The gardens are very close though (which is to be expected for a terraced cottage) but something to consider if you are concerned about privacy. Just a few negatives, ...more
The cottage was very well equipped and in a great spot. Beds were comfy & there was plenty of hot water for all 8 of us to shower & bath. A second teapot would have helped make tea for 8! Plus some wooden spoons & we had to buy a cheese grater in a charity shop as there wasn't one & we left this for the next occupants. Really lovely to receive a welcome pack on arrival with milk, biscuits, bottle of wine, jam and cordial. House was quite private. Although residents were in adjoining properties we didn't feel overlooked. Garden was enclosed which was great for the dogs & there were stair gates ...more
I don’t normally write reviews but on this occasion I felt it was necessary, especially due to the lack of communication from cleaning company & landlords direct. On arrival there was a smell of dogs in the lounge, the floors had not been hoovered so there were lots of bits & fluff rolling around also carpet in lounge had lots of dog hairs on it , dog hairs & a lot of cobwebs & spiders in corners of rooms, also stains on floor in kitchen where it had not been mopped, cutlery was very stained & needs soaking in some Milton, outside space there was some dog poo & cigarette nubs that had been lef...more
