The property was great it had all the equipment required particularly all that you need for infants. It was lovely and clean and very comfortable. It was ideally located to lots of tourist destinations and very close to the beach. Would certainly recommend and personally would return
The cottage exceeded our expectation, totally home from home, everything we needed plus some. The cottage was spotless, warm and comfortable. Bed was so comfy, I wanted to take it home. Garden is lovely, be great in warmer weather. Little shop next door is so handy and does great breakfast pastry. All in all one of the best weeks we've had, would love to go back .
We had the most wonderful week at 6 Baker's Yard. The property was very comfortable, spacious, clean, really well equipped and in a great location. We wouldn't hesitate to recommend to others and to revisit another time.
Beautiful little hideaway in a charming village setting. Only negative comment is that the sofa is not very comfortable but a minor issue. Local pub, The Red Lion, were very welcoming and the food excellent. Carol singing on Christmas Eve was lovely. Christmas tree set up in the cottage was a thoughtful touch, as well as the wood burner set and ready to be fired up. Would we visit again……yes definitely.
Arrows is a well appointed bungalow within a reasonably short, flat walk of the centre of Holt, which provides a full range of independent shops. There is a very open alleyway between two bungalows, which is worth seeking out It is very well appointed, of particular note are the kitchen utensils and wet room. I note a previous reviewers comment that there is an observation which comments on the poor quality of the kitchen utensils, this is entirely incorrect based upon my visit. For our five night stay at Honey Barrel Cottage in Stiffkey, we were extremely pleased with our choice of accommodation and its location in a beautiful part of North Norfolk. The cottage certainly lived up to our expectations, both in its quaintness and character, being typical of the area. The accommodation was very clean and provided all the provisions one would need when self catering; there was even basic food stuffs and complementary milk and biscuits. Very quiet cottage in lovely spot. Stiffkey stores and Red Lion within walking distance and worth a visit. Cottage garden beautiful. Many places of interest nearby to visit. Front room not enough lights - very hard to read, especially if eyesight poor, and lamp wasn't working. Small bedroom would benefit from chest of drawers rather than large table and chair There was no visitor comment book that we could find which is always useful to see others suggestions Limited info on walks in area
Our third stay at Legion Cottage which indicates our satisfaction of the property and why we keep returning Due to the superb weather this year we spent much time in the rear patio/garden for breakfast and evening drinks.This drew our attention to the lack of maintenance of the patio and the lack of a parasol for the garden table. Minor points but the only slight criticism worth mentioning
We had a lovely stay in Butterfly Barn, helped enormously by the beautiful weather! We really enjoyed the location. It was very peaceful but close to everything we wanted. The service from Norfolk Stay was excellent. The barn was very clean, well equipped but felt a bit tired and unloved. A few little extra touches would have made our stay feel a bit more special. We will definitely come back to Norfolk and will book with Norfolk Stay but we won’t come back to Butterfly Barn.
Very comfortable cottage in an excellent location for exploring north Norfolk. The welcome package was a nice extra when arriving at a well prepared cottage. All the equipment, electrical items and furniture were all in good working order. There are two pubs in walking distance from the farm and both are children and dog friendly which is a nice bonus.
Charming old cottage with a pretty private garden. Lovely kitchen, bathroom and bedroom. Very well equipped. We did feel the lounge could be made more ‘homely’. A rug under the coffee table would have softened the room.

We stayed at Rookery Farm for my dad's 70th birthday celebration. The house worked really well for 14 people with lots of sociable space & comfortable beds. Bathrooms are a little dated and could do with showers but the accomodation was very clean. The kitchens were very well equipped roo. Thank you for a lovely stay.
Started with a negative - the keys were wedged in the key lock so tool some time, a phone call to the office and a lot of jiggling to get it open. Cottage is lovely, well presented and comfortable. Its location, central to the coast road, the lovely pub and stores and the salt marshes was great. There were some cleanliness issues - extensive cobwebs on the floor/ skirting areas and previous occupants belongings found on the floor (hairgrip etc) pointing to a quick floor cleaning rather than a more thorough clean. The barn is set in beautiful grounds which are superbly landscaped. The standard is not matched on the interior but the place is clean and can comfortably cater to 10 people in terms of kitchen and lounge areas. The bedroom and bathroom facilities are lacking, with limited or no wardrobe hanging spaces or mirrors and a bathroom on the mid floor shared by 3 separate bedrooms and no dedicated shower (just a hand held attached to bath that you cannot stand up in due to low ceiling) so 10 guests were sharing 2 master bathrooms in the downstairs bedrooms which was manageable for a weekend but not i...more
All very convenient and comfortable. Very generous welcome pack of local delicacies. Windows in main bedroom did not open but that could be easily fixed. Would definitely recommend Harvey Cottage.
Great location in a quiet village. Lovely outdoor space to enjoy al fresco dining. A very clean and well equipped property that exceeded our expectations.
We had a lovely weekend stay at The Bolt Hole. It was the perfect size for two people and a dog and they’ve thought of everything you could possibly need in utensils, kitchen equipment etc. Really excellent. However saying that we stayed on a very rainy weekend and the bedrooms at either end of the cottage felt incredibly damp, so we had to keep the heating on as much as possible. The bedding even felt damp when you got into bed which was such a shame as the beds are incredibly comfortable. We also found lots of hairs in the bed which was a bit off putting. Comfortable, well equipped cottage in a nice peaceful location. Nice countryside walks around the owners farm. Helpful cleaning and gardening staff. Good quality meals available at the pub within walking distance.
We really enjoyed our holiday in Norfolk staying in Rose Cottage. We loved the location, the garden, the comfy bed and having two bathrooms. The cottage was well equipped and clean. We were slightly concerned about parking right on the road and would not have wanted to get children in and out of the car. Useful feedback to owners/managers - the seal around kitchen sink plug has perished meaning sink won't hold water. Needs replacement or provide washing up bowl. Great location to explore the north Norfolk coast and just a few miles from the pretty village of Holt. Nice enclosed garden at the ‘back’, secure for the dog . Ideal having a downstair Bedroom and shower room for my less mobile in law’s. Although kitchen quite small in comparison to the rest of the barn, it was very well equipped. The Wheatsheaf in the next village (less than 0.5 mile walk) was very good and catered well for those in the group with gluten free requirements. Would return if staying in the area again.
Downstairs grotty and unclean; the furniture falling to bits, ancient and looks like it has been placed there from a house clearance. Downstairs is not a nice place to be. Website does not mention the very steep stairs which are bare wood with cracks and very uneven and slippy coming down probably due to the black paint that has been used on them, certainly unsuitable for anyone with mobility problems. We have stayed at April Cottage twice this year the first being in March my only criticism then was that a handrail would be good for the shower area in the bath. I was pleased to see that one had been installed upon our arrival for our latest stay. The Cottage has everything you need for your base in North Norfolk. Comfortable, quiet with plenty of room for 3 or 4 adults. It's well equipped and there is a decent pub within a short walk. Fakenham is only 10 minutes away where you will find a large Tesco for all your needs.
