Beautifully furnished former barn. Ideally located for surrounding walks. My only comment would be that the decking around the hot tub does get very slippery. Overall though I would definitely recommend staying here

Our second visit to Hall Farm this time staying in the beautiful Mews (last time we stayed in the Old Smithy) to celebrate my birthday and it was Amazing!! Thank you to Philippa & Julian for making it so special everything was just perfect and thank you so much for the lovely welcome pack and my birthday bubbly x

The Mews is just stunning it is cosy, warm & welcoming with everything you need and more in a perfect location with beautiful surroundings and stunning walks on your doorstep. Close to some fabulous shops and restaurants we had the best time celebrating with family and we didn’t want to leave. Now planning my next stay in The Retreat to complete the hat trick!

Thanks again Philippa & Julian for making our stay extra special it really is a home from home.

So good first time round we came back for Christmas and booked again for next year. A delightfully cosy cottage with everything one might need for a relaxing and peaceful holiday. Set in a picturesque location, with lots to do nearby and plenty of good places to eat it’s a real gem. Delightful owners who could not have been more welcoming and so looking forward to returning. Highly recommended for families or couples looking for the perfect English countryside holiday / break.

The most perfect stay for us girls. Beautifully decorated for the best Christmasy feels.

We booked The Mews for our bridal prep and post wedding mini moon October 2024 and we couldn't have been happier.

Everything was absolutely perfect, Phillippa was the most attentive, happy, comforting and welcoming host we've ever met. Seeing her brightened each day. She even took pictures before we left in our wedding car. Perfect.

The Mews itself is a beautiful barn. Our suppliers loved it, as did all of our wedding party. The beds are so comfortable, the sofa is huge, the kitchen is so well stocked, the hot tub is serviced regularly and the mix of suppliers Phillippa partners with, is the cherry on top. We used Millies Graze and Bakes multiple times throughout our stay to keep us fueled...alongside the gorgeous chocolate and orange cake, and fresh eggs that Phillippa left.

Thank you again, we can't wait to return next year.

We hired all three cottages for the weekend of our wedding. Phillipa was the perfect host from the welcome on arrival to leaving as Mr & Mrs. The cottages are beautifully presented both inside and out and we highly recommend booking a stay here

Hall farm cottages provided the most stunning accommodation for our daughter’s wedding at nearby fabulous Grangefields. The cottages are all luxuriously furnished and extremely well equipped. The Retreat housed the dress and veil and was perfect for the dress reveal and was ideal for the bride to prepare for her wedding. The Old Smithy accommodated the bridesmaids and dog walker. The Mews is a spacious, comfortable space for the family and where the hairdresser and makeup artist set up. We hosted a pre wedding meal for 11 the night before the wedding. There is plenty of parking at Hall farm and wonderful photo opportunities in the beautiful courtyard and gardens. We cannot thank our wonderful hosts Phillipa and Julian enough. . Phillipa , your warmth and kindness kept us all calm and relaxed and your homemade cakes , fresh eggs and milk a lovely touch.

My family and I stayed here, in all of the cottages for our daughter’s wedding.
It was perfect for a large family group to enjoy the wedding weekend and to prepare for the wedding day.

This was my third time staying at Hall Farm.
It is a wonderful place to stay to allow you to go off and enjoy the peaks and near by attractions. The local pub is excellent and the house itself is like home from home.
I would definitely recommend

The Mews cottage is absolutely amazing, such a beautiful place to stay. We booked this to stay in as we were getting married at Grangefields which is only 10 minutes away. The place is unreal, so so beautiful! Philippa (the owner) was absolutely amazing, so kind, so friendly and made sure we were well looked after. We cannot wait to go back and stay again. From the moment we arrived, it was evident that our hosts was dedicated to ensuring that our stay was nothing short of extraordinary. Their attention to detail, warm hospitality, and genuine care for our experience made our wedding weekend truly unforgettable.

Our hosts went above and beyond in every aspect, from the immaculate preparation of the accommodation to their thoughtful gestures that added a personal touch to our special occasion. After an issue with our transport on the morning of the wedding our hosts did not hesitate to ensure the Bride got to the venue on time and in style, allowing us to focus on celebrating our big day.

The accommodation itself was nothing short of spectacular. Every room was impeccably clean, beautifully decorated, and equipped with all the amenities we could possibly need. The stunning surroundings and breathtaking views provided the perfect backdrop for any occasion, and our guests were equally impressed by the quality of the accommodation and the level of service provided.

I cannot recommend Philippa & Julian and their accommodation highly enough. If you are looking for an accommodation and hosts that will exceed your expectations and make your special occasion truly unforgettable, look no further.

This was our 2nd visit to Hall Farm and again we were made to feel very welcome from the start. Beautiful cottage fresh eggs, mince pies, milk awaited us. Beds particularly comfortable. Great property. Clean & comfortable.
Quite remote with nothing much around i.e shops are around a 10 min drive away.
There is a pub nearby…. But you would need to drive as there is no pavement and a 60mph speed limit on a narrow country road.
That said we had a lovely time. Just make sure you bring shopping with you or maybe do an online shop to be delivered.

The Mews is a beautiful house, the sort of house you wish was your own. Philippa was an amazing host and went above and beyond to make our stay as special as possible. The house is a perfect size for 8 adults to stay comfortably in not to mention the amazing hot tub! I highly recommend it.

We stayed at The Mews and The Old Smithy for 2 nights before and after our wedding at Grangefields. It was perfect, we couldn't have stayed anywhere better. The large living room was just what we needed so I could get ready with my bridesmaids. There was plenty of space for us all and the cottages were lovely and comfortable. Philippa was a great host, nothing was too much trouble. She even offered to drive me and my parents if our wedding car didn't turn up. Highly recommend!

We hired all the cottages for our friends, for our wedding.
They were so beautiful inside, had so many compliments from our friends.
Location was great too as it was just around the corner from our wedding venue which was a bonus.

We had an idyllic stay for our Sons wedding at Grangefields just a short drive down the road. The owner Phillipa could not have been more helpful. Beautifully furnished and decorated,very comfortable rooms and a well equipped kitchen. Our grown up ‘children’ loved the hot tub and our toddler grandson were fascinated by the sheep in the adjacent fields. Our family booked the adjacent properties which made it so easy to get together, with plenty of space to socialise outside on the terrace(the flower and shrub boarders are immaculately kept. The Mews is located in a very peaceful location, only the sounds of nature and the occasional farm vehicle, no traffic noise. For us it was perfect , we hope to return for a holiday in the future.

From the ease of booking, to the departure. All went smoothly. Philippa was very helpful when contacted before the visit re information. On arrival Philippa greeted us made us feel welcome to site. Showed all the facilities and explained all things too us. We all felt welcomed. Down to Greeting Larry the lamb! The facilities are great from the kitchen. Bedrooms and lounge. The outside space is lovely. The hot tub is great. Sunsets are lovely. A great place to stay. We had the whole complex. All units are fabulous. Well maintained and fully recommend.
