A great stay in a lovely location. Such a well equipped house with lots of attention detail to make it feel like home from home. Pub is lovely for food and the Sunday roast did not disappoint. Being next to the pub does come with some noise which is to be expected of course but worth remembering if you are in one of the back bedrooms ( sound of pub kitchen ) Thank you for a great stay.
We are so glad we chose to stay at the Northbrook Arms. As far as short stay accommodation goes, Plough Cottage offered all the conveniences you could want for, and many additional extras. The thoughtfulness of the welcome items, the decor and the styling of the property is wonderful. The team on site at the pub were very helpful and having the restaurant and pub next year was perfect. I recently stayed at the Barrel Room as I was working in the area, and it was perfect for what I needed. The room was clean, the bed was comfortable, and the kitchenette was very well equipped with a lovely selection of teas available. Due to the time of year the nights were cold, but the room had heating and an electric radiator so it was cosy in no time. The weather was sunny one day so I was able to eat lunch outside on the bistro table and chairs, which I can imagine will be nice for breakfasts in the summer. The Old Bakery is a perfect for couples and a comfortable size for an extended stay. It was spotlessly clean, nicely furnished and well appointed for self catering. The adjacent pub is a gem and although we didn’t eat there, we enjoyed early evening drinks. Communication about our stay was good and staff on site were really friendly.
