A fabulous week spent at Fettercairn Bothy. It was cosy, relaxing and well appointed. We particularly loved the log burner which was very welcome after a day out exploring the stunning countryside. The views from the bothy were beautiful, the big windows throughout ensuring you never missed an opportunity even enjoying the views from your bed. Also, a perfect spot for star gazing, as almost no light pollution. The hot tub was also an additional bonus for relaxing and enjoying the views. A wonderful location with spectacular views. The Bothy was very well designed and comfortable. The owners were very welcoming and helpful with information. The only thing we had not picked up on was that if the neighbouring Bothy residents had dogs that they allowed to roam free, it could be an issue if you had a dog that was nervous of certain other breeds of dogs. Otherwise we had a most enjoyable stay and happy memories of being in the hot tub looking at the stars.
We spent three nights at the Dalmore Bothy. It is a beautiful location, with a comfortable and well-appointed cottage. The bedrooms and lounge have great views, and we found it very convenient to travel into the Blairgowrie for dinners. The surrounding area offered lots of activities - a trip to Scone Palace, a walk in the hills, horseriding with Maryan Waring. Karen was a very welcoming and helpful host. We would definitely stay again.
