A fabulous week spent at Fettercairn Bothy. It was cosy, relaxing and well appointed. We particularly loved the log burner which was very welcome after a day out exploring the stunning countryside.
The views from the bothy were beautiful, the big windows throughout ensuring you never missed an opportunity even enjoying the views from your bed.
Also, a perfect spot for star gazing, as almost no light pollution. The hot tub was also an additional bonus for relaxing and enjoying the views.
So many lovely places to visit from castles to stunning lochs and waterfalls.
Karen the host was friendly and was there for any questions or help we needed. The welcome basket and the leavers bag with goodies to keep us going on the way home were very welcome. Loved the little glazed bothy which is a perfect reminder of an amazing holiday. Hopefully we will be back soon. Thank you

This is the most amazing place ever and the hosts were super helpful. Bought this as a a birthday gift for my partner and he absolutely loved it. Thank you so much will definitely be back again.

Beautiful bothy in a stunning location. Greeted with a warm welcome from Karen and reassured that if we needed anything, help was on hand. Modern, clean and well equipped, the bothy had fantastic views from the decked area and hot tub, which was great to relax in after a long days walk with a glass of wine. If you’re looking for a relaxing, secluded break away from the day to day hustle and bustle of life, this is the perfect getaway. We thought the welcome pack and leaving goodies were a lovely touch. Thank you again for your hospitality and allowing us to spend our holiday in this special place x

Booked this for my husbands birthday and we had the most relaxing time! The location is just perfect and peaceful and the bothie itself is just amazing! Everything you need is right there! The little personal touches from Karen too are lovely!

Stayed for 1 week in June.Botjy was immaculate with mice welcome pack of goodies. Jane was very welcoming and helpful. The Swedish hot tub was a delight ,once heated,last 2 days,we used it every morning and evening looking out over the valley below .Our dog loved the land around the bothy and got used to our neighbour ( a horse).Blairgowrie ( nearest town) ,has very nice cafes/ restaurants, most with dig friendly areas. Everything in the bothy was very good quality and bed was very comfortable. The only issue we had was no WiFi during our stay ,there was an issue which Jane was unable to get fixed during our stay .I would return here immediately if I could .

Myself and my boyfriend stayed for two nights, celebrating his birthday and our anniversary. We couldn’t have chosen anywhere better: the bothy was beyond beautiful, the scenery was amazing and our host Karen was very communicative and helpful! We will definitely be back

Our stay at Greengairs was fantastic. Fabulous, relaxing location with stunning views from the hot tub. The bothie is beautifully designed and appointed. It was spotless and extremely well maintained. There are so many lovely little extra touches.

Karen and Phillip were always on hand to offer any help or local knowledge required and the sun shone.

The dogs were welcome too which doesn’t happen often. Dougal even made a new friend, Woody the horse. It was amusing watching them both go through the same routine every day as if they had never met.

We will be back but please don’t share my review because we don’t want everyone knowing about this wee hidden gem.

The Bothy is stunning both inside and out. Making the most of the views with floor to ceiling windows. The rooms are all spacious, airy and light providing ample storage for belongings. The kitchen is really well appointed with a good amount of crockery.

I wouldn’t change anything about the stay, it was perfect and just right for our little break.

Had the most amazing weekend at the Bothie. WS not disappointed on arrival the Bothie is stunning inside with lots of attention to detail. The views are just breathtaking. Sitting in the hot tub at night watching the stars such a relaxing experience. Will definitely be back ❤️

Spotlessly clean with every need catered for from hot tub, wood burning stove in living room, beautifully decorated and set within a quiet location. We highly recommend booking a stay at any one of the Greengairs Bothies. We had such a relaxing time away and Karen and Philip couldn’t have been kinder. The Bothies are so cosy and the Swedish hot tub is a great experience regardless of the weather. We will definitely be returning - one of the best places to stay if you’re looking for peace and tranquility. Thank you!

I can't recommend this highly enough. Just returned from our 4th visit to my favourite dog friendly self catering.
The Bothy is very tasteful, spotless, and well equipped.
Perfect for a relaxing break for 2. Our dog loves it too.
Karen and Phillip are brilliant hosts. Lovely welcome basket including doggy biscuit bone, and thoughtful leaving gift.
Love the hot tub and views too.

The most amazing escape away for a few days. Some of the best views at all times of the day. 10/10 for everything, can’t fault a thing. Karen was the loveliest host and the welcome pack on arrival was amazing, the empire biscuit was the best we’ve ever had. Can’t wait to come back!

Beautiful house with the most amazing views. We loved our short stay in Fettercairn - definitely more luxurious than a normal bothy
The place is furnished to a high standard, is extremely well equipped and felt very comfortable and cosy. The location is so peaceful and I particularly loved watching the sunrise over the valley from the wood fired hot tub.

The bothy is very luxurious, it was even better and bigger than we thought it would be. The location is really quiet and the view is amazing. Enjoying the hottub with that view is so relaxing.
Karen and Phillip are great hosts and their recommendations are spot on.
This was the best holiday home we ever had! See you next year.

Everything about the lodge is just WOW!! So tranquil. Everything you could ever need and more has already been thought of. The lovely welcome gift as well as the departing gift just add to the special feeling. The lodge is stunning inside & out, privacy & views from the hot tub are unrivalled, bed is the comfiest I’ve ever slept in. Beautiful walks on your doorstep. Can’t wait to return.

It is a slice of paradise! Karen made us feel so welcome from the moment we arrived, showing us how to work the wood fired hot tub and telling us about local walks with the dog. We honestly had the most relaxing few days. On our last day the electricity was going off at 8am so Karen gave us a voucher I use for breakfast at a local cafe, such a kind gesture, she went above and beyond our expectations! Can’t wait to return x

Absolute bliss. Stunning views from the bothie. So peaceful and relaxing we were just in awe with the scenery. The bothie is top notch spotlessly clean with all the essentials. Hot tub was so relaxing too.
Karen is a wonderful host and ensured we were settled in and advised us of several brilliant dog friendly walks we could go on. Definitely want to return again soon. Thankyou again Karen for a wonderful holiday.

A great location in the countryside, but close to towns with wonderful views across the valley. Peaceful and relaxing, great amenities and with a wood burner if it is cold and a wood fired hot tub allowing you to soak up those views. Great customer service!

Overall the stay was amazing and we all had a great time. The weather was amazing which made the views even more outstanding can see for miles. Hot tub amazing and so so warm loved it.
Suggested walks were great and having Drimmie woods within walking distance of your stay was great and the dog loved being able to get off and stretch his legs. Blackwater Reservoir was also a great walk finished off a visit to Peel farm for a great Latte and some home baking. The welcome basket and leaving bag was a great touch. Jax loved his biscuits!!
Great for us to catch up with family so overall a great a very relaxing time away.

Even though Fettercairn Bothy is less than 90 minutes drive from our home it's a world away in comfort and relaxation. From the moment we arrive we can switch off and relax and enjoy the beautiful countryside regardless of the weather.
Blairgowrie is a wonderful place to base yourself for lots of activities but we especially enjoy the walks, cycling and bird watching. It's also blessed with several fantastic restaurants but the Bothy also wants for nothing if you want to cook in.
Finally you can always end your day relaxing in the excellent wood fire heated hot tub. Bliss.

Everything from the minute we got there was perfect. The welcome basket with local produce some eggs, scones and little Prosecco. Karen came up and welcomed us to the bothie. She gave some advice for us on local walks to take Reggie and places to eat in Blairgowrie and Alyth. Everything was perfect and was the first time in years that we weren’t wanting to get home to
our own bed and could have stayed longer. Def recommend and a cosy night soaking in the hot tub and then lounging in front of the log burner with the family

Fettercairn at Greengairs Highland Bothies is a well equipped, beautifully finished lodge with stunning views. The outside log-fired hot tub is a welcome bonus! Nice finishing touches and a welcome pack, including fresh scones, tablet, fresh eggs, mojito/wine and some bonios for the our dog were most appreciated.

The bothy, although rural, is only a short distance from both Blairgowrie and Alyth, and is a great location for country walks and exploring the local area. Karen made us most welcome soon after we arrived and provided us with some excellent ideas for local walks and eating out.

Overall, we had a relaxing few days, and will return to this wonderful bothy some time in the future. Highly recommended!
