Everything was perfect. Accomodation very suitable for disabled and clean. Concierge was very helpful and facilities were great.
A fantastic place to stay for a great holiday around the Lochness Lake. Everything you need is provided.
We stayed with the family in the STruan Appartment and everything was perfect. the bed was super comfortable and the view on the Loch amazing.
Amazing place in a beautiful location. This was a family get together after a long 4 years apart and it was worth the wait,it included 3 generations and all ages and it suited all of us…especially the children. The only negative was the stairs for us oldies The boat trips were only 5 minutes away and the locks were a lovely place to relax and have a coffee. We always judge a place by asking would we return? and we all said yes!
This property has an excellent location and is very special! I loved the space available -I wish we could have stayed longer!
Abbey Garden is a very nice apartment with easy access, two nice bathrooms, good space and a private garden. It is also close to the pool. And we enjoyed our private Bunny family every morning and evening. Nice quiet place in secluded park. Excellent starting point for many sightseeing tours. Service as good as always ! Food at the boat house restaurant also remains at high level. Looking forward to come back.
We had a pleasant time at log ness. Perfect surroundings and clean appartement. Would recommend it to all
The apartment was very poorly maintained. The washing machine and dishwasher were broken. The oven was overheating burning everything unless you halved the cooking time. The oven glove was so thin it burnt my hand (not badly however). The curtains in the lounge were missing some hooks, the blind wasn't working properly, the blind in the main bedroom was broken. The wardrobe in the main bedroom was so full of miscellaneous equipment/rubbish it was impossible to hang clothes or store cases without using the second bedroom as a storage area (fortunately there were only two of us staying there). A unique and very comfortable apartment in what we hadn't realised was a very large complex but you hardly saw many other people. Plenty of activities on site including tennis, badminton, table tennis and snooker to mention a few with an efficient booking system which worked well. Lovely pool but is on the small side but steam room and sauna also. The Abbey is uniquely placed near the Loch and the Caledonian Canal with lots of activities available locally including golf and cycling with some water sports. We really enjoyed our stay, had a fabulous time and hope to return soon The staff from th...more
7 of us came in two cottages for a break between Christmas and New Year. We had a great time, cottages were lovely and Cosy with everything you need. Beautiful setting, we all used the facilities, booking the gym and pool was straight forward and a great sized pool for going with family. We will definitely be back.
Spent 3 nights here & it certainly provided an ideal base for exploring Loch Ness / Fort Augustus area. The apartment is in a new wing so doesn't have the atmosphere & period features of the old abbey but the grounds and old building is lovely. The swimming pool is in the converted chapel. The apartment has all you need for a S/C stay however the pots & pans & cooking trays could do with renewing. The microwave is in the cupboard and only worked it you unplugged it & plugged it in again...a loose wire? I never did get the bottom oven to work & not sure what I was doing wrong. It has WI...more
Our family of 4 had a lovely stay at the Highland Club. The location is fantastic and a great base to explore the surrounding area. Service received was excellent with good communication. We would recommend and are looking forward to stay again in the future.
An amazing experience. Wonderful setting on the banks of Loch Ness and a delightful town at Fort Augustus. My son and his family joined us from America and they were impressed. The conversion of the building was very sympathetic. We all had a lovely week. Thank you.
We really loved the old Abbey and did our best to make use of all the facilities from playing outside chess and tennis to lovely hot saunas after the day's activity with Active Highs (white water rafting then canyoning!! -highly recommended). The Boathouse restaurant on the banks of Loch Ness provide beautiful evening views complementing great food. Unfortunately the ground floor apartment situated in the Old Armoury is damp with no ventilation making it impossible for anything to dry and all clothes had to be washed when we came home because of the smell. We were lucky it didn't rain which w...more
