Just back from a week in the dales staying in the Byre. Everything you need is provided including a picnic set we didn't get the chance to use. Uber dog friendly accommodation is hard to find but Green Cumbria provided shampoo / sponge & basin that came in handy as the moors can get messy for mutley. The hosts are next door if you need anything & very accommodating. Even let me charge my EV which was really handy & saved stopping on the drive home. The house is spotless & a welcome pack which goes a long way to settling in after a long drive. Already planning to return later in the year. Boo...more
We loved our recent stay and despite the weather being rainy we all looked forward to returning to the luxury of The Haystore each day. Every detail has been carefully thought of from a delicious welcome pack of treats to dressing gowns in the bathrooms, underfloor heating and even accessories for an evening of stargazing! We had the most beautiful views across the Howgill Fells and even spotted some red squirrels in the garden. We had a great stay at The Carthouse for New Year! The property is approx 1.5 miles from Ravenstonedale which has two lovely pubs. There are great walks from the cottage or from within a 30 minute drive. The welcome pack provided was a lovely touch with all the necessities included, ie bread, milk, butter and wine as well as lots of other items. Very large, super comfortable beds helped make this a very relaxing stay. We’ll definitely be back!
