We booked the Byre for a week over New Year 2023. Knowing the weather could do anything at that time of year (and it did) it was important to have somewhere spacious, comfortable and well-equipped. We loved our recent stay and despite the weather being rainy we all looked forward to returning to the luxury of The Haystore each day. Every detail has been carefully thought of from a delicious welcome pack of treats to dressing gowns in the bathrooms, underfloor heating and even accessories for an evening of stargazing! We had the most beautiful views across the Howgill Fells and even spotted some red squirrels in the garden. We had a great stay at The Carthouse for New Year! The property is approx 1.5 miles from Ravenstonedale which has two lovely pubs. There are great walks from the cottage or from within a 30 minute drive. The welcome pack provided was a lovely touch with all the necessities included, ie bread, milk, butter and wine as well as lots of other items. Very large, super comfortable beds helped make this a very relaxing stay. We’ll definitely be back!
