We had a wonderful few days at The Green. Jem and Bek were really quick to respond to any questions for our very last minute booking. The Haystore had everything we could have wanted and more; they had thought of everything and there were so many lovely touches. The location is beautiful and is a great hopping off point to go exploring to the Lakes or more locally - the local pubs were very good!
Such an amazing place to stay. Literally everything had been thought of. Felt so luxurious and amazing.
The only small thing was that the houses were all very very hot even with the thermostat on 10 for our entire stay. We would obviously rather be warm than cold but it was just slightly too warm. Totally not a massive issue though and an incredible stay
The cottage was warm and cosy and had everything you could possibly need for a great holiday. Loved the underfloor heating in particular.
The location is nicely tucked away without being too far from amenities. There are two good pubs in the village within walking distance.
The daily visits from the red squirrels were a highlight.
Bec was a great host, informative and helpful and quick to respond. The app with every bit of info on was also really helpful.
This was our first visit to Cumbria and we were not disappointed by the stunning and dramatic landscape.
We can't wait to ...more
