We really enjoyed our stay at The Rookery, which was for a family celebration of several big birthdays. The house was beautiful, all the bedrooms and en-suite bathrooms were modern and spacious, the kitchen was well equipped and the dining and living room areas were large and fabulous. And everything was spotless! We loved the outside seating areas too which was where we mainly spent our time as the weather was so good. And the views of the surrounding countryside were amazing. We had a long weekend away with some friends here. We had looked at a number of places but this kind of drew us to it. What a good decision, the place was lovely, spotlessly clean and so comfortable. It allows dogs, we had one, but you would never know a dog has been in it. The outside patio has such a lovely outlook over the valley below and fields above. Perfectly peaceful with a lovely walk up to the local pub through the woods. Would definitely recommend this place and will be back next year.
We have had a great week staying at Kingfisher Cottage; 12 people, 3 generations. The facilities were excellent. It was so nice to stay in a cottage with good quality pots and pans! We enjoyed all the walks from the cottage as well as the playing field, where our 92yr old grandpa was in goal and our 88yr old Nan Nan kicked the ball around. We loved the view from the side garden overlooking the reservoir, the table tennis table, the outdoor seating, lounge chairs and tables, as well as inside, the open plan kitchen and lounge. Lovely well appointed cottage in a great location for walking, cycling and fishing. Situated overlooking Chelmash reservoir the cottages are in a secure remote location with great views. There are walking paths and cycle routes from the door. A pub a short walk up the bridleway. Fishing on the river Severn and local pools with a very good tackle shop close by in Bridgnorth. I have stayed here several and hope to return often in the future.!
Fantastic cottage, felt very homely. Very well equipped, everything was carefully thought out for your comfort. The cake was an added bonus on arrival. Marked down on location, the views were good, as the cottage was more rural than expected and we had to travel miles just to get milk. Very peaceful, although we didn't see much wildlife apart from the geese flying over.
