We were a group of 17 friends having a 4 night stay at The Rookery to celebrate a big birthday. The Rookery exceeded our expectations and was a perfect location for us. It is fitted out to a very high standard and extremely well equipped. We really couldn’t fault it and would highly recommend.
We stayed at Cart Cottage to celebrate a family birthday. The Cottage had everything we needed and the boys loved the football field! Beautiful cottage, outstanding location, thankyou for everything! This is the second time we have stayed at The Dinney, and certainly won’t be the last - don’t tell everyone about it though as we want to secure future bookings ! We have had a great week staying at Kingfisher Cottage; 12 people, 3 generations. The facilities were excellent. It was so nice to stay in a cottage with good quality pots and pans! We enjoyed all the walks from the cottage as well as the playing field, where our 92yr old grandpa was in goal and our 88yr old Nan Nan kicked the ball around. We loved the view from the side garden overlooking the reservoir, the table tennis table, the outdoor seating, lounge chairs and tables, as well as inside, the open plan kitchen and lounge. I have stayed at The Dinney many times now but this was my first time in Drake Cottage and I loved it . It’s a fantastic location and although it was too hot this time to do very much, it’s just lovely to relax and look at the super views.
Lovely cottage. Would prefer a dishwasher to washing machine. Proximity to other guests, particularly when outdoors did cause concern over noise/smoking. Kitchen table a tight squeeze. Furnishings and equipment excellent and very comfortable.
