We had a great stay here while working in the area. The accommodation made a comfy base for us to come back to at the end of the day. It was clean, well-equipped and ideally located for our needs and also local facilities.

We enjoyed our stay & would recommmend to friends and family.

Positives:

Nearby walks surrounded by nature - particularly loved walking early morning and around sunset & listening to the birds on the reservoir & geese flying over. Step out onto the patio too to hear the birds.

Beautiful garden at the B & B with a couple of benches & hens - even late October there were colourful flowers. Not sure if allowed in there, but there was no gate and only about 10 steps away from the Drake.

Delicious cake on arrival - thank you.

Plenty of parking and charge for electric vehicle if needed.

Smart TV so could watch Netflix if sign into your own account (it says on the listing 'flat screen TV' so could change this as we weren't sure if we would have been able to watch much. There were plenty of DVDs but they didn't appeal to us. Also books.

Comfortable beds (although late October so perhaps a thicker duvet - although I wasn't cold).

Great easy to work shower & shower gels/shampoo.

Negatives (minor)

No toaster - can use the grill but that takes longer and couldn't use a toastie bag I brought. A toaster is shown on their images.

Although it was nice and warm, there were two occasions when wanted to boost the heating. Instructions could be given in the info book for this (just a sentence). It said to adjust and the only thing to do is turn the dial up so I did this but then I wasn't sure whether the temperature in the middle was the current one or a target temperature and a time came up in the corner and didn't know what that was and initially thought I had changed the settings.

The sofa had only one cushion (limp one too), which could do with replacing and an extra cushion. I had to get some from one of the beds, where they weren't needed as they just go on the floor each night so end up dirty. One of them didn't look that clean.

A small coffee table near the sofa would be good (although can't remember now if there was room for this) - just something to put a glass of wine on or hot drink, rather than on the floor and risk knocking it over.

Gave 5 stars for customer services but only booked the holiday and Karen came to check if everything ok when we arrived so this aspect wasn't included in my overall rating.

Me and a friend booked a three night stay for the purpose of a fishing trip. The cottage was ideally located for our intended venue. It was in a fantastic location, clean, very well equipped, and while surrounded by stunning countryside was only a short drive from Bridgnorth. I wouldn't hesitate to book again, or recommend it to my friends.

Great location with walks on the doorstep and the town of Bridgnorth close by. The cottage was well equipped and very comfortable. We did experience some problems but these were very quickly resolved and didn’t spoil our time spent at The Dinney

We enjoyed a relaxing short break in a lovely cottage in an idyllic location which enabled us to visit several local places of interest. Karen and Kevin were excellent hosts who ensured everything was to our satisfaction in the cottage. We will return for another break in the future to continue our exploration of the area and, perhaps, to play some golf.

We had a superb time at Drake Cottage The Dinney.
Everything we could have wanted was there.
We also enjoyed the local attractions,
eg; Daniel's Watermill,
Apsley Farm shop for a lovely meal and all the beautiful home decor items,
Chelmmarsh Fete was fantastic and well worth a visit if you come in July.
We would definitely recommend to all ages for a Brilliant Break away.
Karen and Keith have created a very relaxing atmosphere.....Well Done!
