The studio is very cosy, comfortable and equipped to a high standard. It has everything you need for a short stay, is quiet and overlooks a lovely paddock with mature trees. I was there on my own and it was perfect for me but had my partner and dog also come as planned we would have struggled for space. The farm shop is well stocked and serves great coffee.
We were on a tent camping/walking holiday with our dog and decided we needed a place to stay for a few days as the weather forecast wasn’t great. We stumbled across Marcassie Lodges quite by accident as they popped up on Booking.com. What an absolute joy it was on meeting Betsy to learn about the deep eco/sustainability credentials, how the lodges were built from their own timber and the community living and working around the farm including artists, carpenters and more. Our stay at the lodge was perfect couldn’t want anything better.clean warm comfortable and everything you need. The views were lovely a happy retreat. We will be visiting again shame the shop wa shut we wanted some of the mayonnaise hopefully next time Best wishes Karen & Steve Lea
Had a Lovely stay at Marcassie lodges. Very friendly hosts. Tranquil countryside location. Ideal if you want relax. Second time we've stayed and I'm sure it won't be our last.
Oak Lodge & Marcassie Farm afforded me the perfect space/environment to have a 3 month silent meditation retreat. The lodge was very comfortable, cozy & warm. My hosts Betsy & Sven could not have been kinder & willing to resolve any issues I had.
There was more room in the property than I expected and it was very clean and comfortable. Plenty of room outside to stroll around or for children to play. Very quiet and relaxing.
