I genuinely enjoyed my stay in the Blackthorn Lodge at Marcaisse farm. I could tell from the beginning that the space had been created and furnished very thoughtfully. In the little kitchen I had everything I needed and wanted, the bed is very comfortable and generally everything is of a high quality standard. There is a lot of daylight inside and a beautiful view into the field, lined with mighty, old trees. The location is great, close to the ocean, to the Cairngorm mountains and you can have beautiful walks in the forest, that start right at the farm. It is useful to have a car to get around.
I cannot speak highly enough of this place and it‘s owners and can recommend the Lodges wholeheartedly!

There was more room in the property than I expected and it was very clean and comfortable. Plenty of room outside to stroll around or for children to play. Very quiet and relaxing.

The studio was just what we needed. Very clean, well equipped mini kitchen and walk in shower and toilet. One person on the sofa bed. Great outlook from front and good place to relax and explore Moray
