Oak Lodge & Marcassie Farm afforded me the perfect space/environment to have a 3 month silent meditation retreat.
The lodge was very comfortable, cozy & warm.
My hosts Betsy & Sven could not have been kinder & willing to resolve any issues I had.

Magical place, just felt the city life melt away at this wee gem o a place, great people, everything about it just works, plenty to do and see locally, I'll be returning, power to all involved in keeping marcrassie alive

We enjoyed our stay at Marcassie very much. It’s a beautiful place and we were very comfortable in your cottages. We have no hesitation in recommending this place to others.

Betsy and Sven, the designers and owners of the accomodation are very welcoming hosts.. The modern well insulated modern and cosy wooden chalets look out on a spacious area to walk around, and a view of trees and woodland frames the space. The chalets are various sizes and I chose a small open studio, which suited my needs as I was travelling alone with my two dogs, who absolutely loved the setting! The space itself is of a modern contemporary design which works very well offering simplicity, warmth and comfort. They are well equipped and a studio would work equally well for 2 adults and another. There is no TV or radio. WiFi is OK not average. And for many this offers a perfect retreat from our over stimulating worlds a feature of the purpose intended in the design of the accomodation. A ten minute drive to the beautiful beach at findhorn and numerous walks nearby. What's also a huge plus and how I came to choose this accomodation was the wonderful courses in basketry, willow, felting and more that are hosted in a pole house 5 min walk away. So all in all a great hol was had by moi!

Highly recommend giving this place a visit. Minimalist lodges (that are fully equipped) in a very beautiful and quiet setting. Dog friendly too.
