We had a fantastic time at this lovingly restored cottage and found it hard to leave. The interior is so cosy with every element of both its liveability and its age reflected in such a considered way, from the underfloor heating to the antique-style Newbridge cutlery! Maureen really looked after us and gave us plenty of stories about the house along with tips for what to see in the area. A highlight of the trip was a visit to Anne's antique store in Glin, which Maureen had mentioned, and Askeaton Friary which she (rightly!) insisted we visit. It's great to meet someone as passionate about their area as Maureen is. The Goggins live on through the stories shared about their beautiful home, and we are lucky to have the opportunity to stay here thanks to the ILT as the new custodians.

We had an amazing time at the cottage,it was so well restored and had so many modern features like underfloor heating that made it so comfortable. Maureen was so lovely amd welcoming, she brought us some fresh homemade local products - what an absolute treat!! Recommend for either a couple or a family with kids. Unforgettable!

Thank you for your great review. This property is an amazing restoration, and our first air source heat pump. We are very lucky to have Maureen the local House Manager, she is brilliant at taking great care of this heritage property and her guests.

Very enjoyable stay at a characterful cottage

Superb restoration of a cottage full of character. We have stayed in sixteen ILT properties and this is arguably the best! Our congratulations to the Irish Landmark Trust for this work. The Housekeeper was very helpful and friendly. Tiny criticisms: the level of lighting in the living room was very dim, and the sofa was a bit uncomfortable for a shorter person...

We enjoyed the well restored interpretation of the era in the cottage. The host was superb in her attention to our needs and explanations of the local attractions. Perhaps the lounge chairs could be a little more comfortable and fortunately we had matches to light the stove but minor inconveniences. Thanks again for the opportunity to experience this slice of Irish culture

Thank you for your great review of this brilliant new restoration. We have noted the issue with the chairs and our Interior Designer is looking for a more comfortable replacement before her next visit.

A brilliant restoration! Great bathroom with large shower and underfloor heating throughout by air source heat pump - great sustainability for an old house. The loft bedroom is great for children and is a great "den" for their own space. You would think the cottage is small from the outside but is very spacious and airy inside. I loved the traditional colours on the walls and paintwork and the wild meadow garden.

A beautifully restoration of Goggin cottage. We loved it so much we would absolutely come back again. There is something quite magical about it. We lost time while we were there, it was so relaxing. Well worth a visit. Highly recommended.

Joan and I were delighted with our stay at Goggin Cottage. We were welcomed on arrival by Maureen the very friendly house manager. The Cottage is very comfortable and well equipped. The location is rural but still close to a well stocked convenience store. There are numerous food venues within 30 minutes drive either locally or in Adare. A great base from which to visit historic sites in the Limerick area.
I could go on and on about how fantastic our stay at Goggin turned out to be.

Thank you for your great review of our newest property. This is a very welcoming cottage with some lovely heritage colours inside, its a great base for exploring, to then return to the countryside to sit outside and enjoy the large garden meadow and watch the sun set.
