We’ve been coming to Windermere Marina Village for nearly 20 years and now visit annually with our children’s families. In turn the space we require has grown and this apartment is without doubt the largest, and best, we have stayed in. All home from home comforts are here, including an extremely large area on the top floor that has a 70” tv, a drop down bed, shower room and seating for everyone. The only downside is that there is no lift to the apartment but that didn’t affect us too much.
Beautiful apartment in lovely location. It was a home from home. Everything you would need provided even a welcome pack of milk, tea bags, coffee sachets and sugar sachets ro get you started. Overall it felt very luxurious and we will definitely look forward to returning at some point.
Stayed here many times , the only disappointment is the TV …. It could do either upgrading to a Smart Tv …. Most people like to be able to get CATCH UP etc , NETFLIX - especially when you are staying during the winter months and dark evenings .Just a friendly suggestion /wish .
We stayed in apartment 45, there were 7 of us, everything was clean, and to a very high standard. I couldn’t fault it, would defo there again.
We have just returned from a 7 day autumn break at 12 Marina View and have been very impressed with this apartment. Five of us stayed and we were very comfortable in this beautifully decorated place.The bedrooms are relaxing with very comfortable beds. The three bathrooms were a real bonus, too. The kitchen appliances are easy to use and of very high quality. We had family fun playing the large selection of board games provided. Lovely apartment. Spacious, plenty of room for 8 people. Great facilities. Nice walk down into Bowness. Staff were lovely and very helpful.
We have stayed at the village several times over the years and expect high standards. The apartment this year was easily the best. The quality of the furniture and fittings was first class. We have stayed in self catering apartments all over the uk and this apartment was, by far, the best equipped. More than enough crockery, cutlery, glasses etc and every possible utensil you might require. We had a couple minor issues understanding the fixtures and fittings and the response from the maintenance staff was extremely efficient and friendly. Had our yearly weekend visit to the marina. We always love going there. The staff are lovely and friendly and the apartments are beautiful and in a beautiful setting. Would definitely recommend it.
We stayed at apartment 16. This is our third stay at the marina. This was the first time in this apartment. From the moment we arrived. the apartment was fantastic. We would have no hesitation in returning back in the near future. A wonderful apartment in the perfect location.
Amazing pre Xmas stay at the Marina. Windward Apt 2 is an outstanding property, its been finished to an extremely high standard, its in a fantastic location within the Marina and the Xmas tree in the living room was the best surprise.

Just back from a fabulous 4 day break at the wonderful Windermere marina village and I must say we couldn't fault our stay at in apartment 32, from the warm welcome on arrival by the lovely reception staff to the fabulous apartment itself, we enjoyed every single minute of our trip. The apartment offers stunning views of the marina, whilst also providing home from home comfort, all within easy walking distance of Bowness itself. We look forward to returning in the future.
Stayed in one of these newer additions to WMV and was very happy with our stay. Great apartment with good views. Very comfortable.

Great stay at the marina it was a present from my sister, my mum and I had a very relaxing time. Everything was perfect from start to finish.
Our 7th time at Windward Apartment 17 and perfect as usual. Very spacious, well equipped and spotless upon arrival. The apartment lacks for nothing and has great views over the Marina. It has a perfect south-facing balcony should the sun shine. Full marks too to the Marina's accommodation staff for their care and attention. The Marina itself is just a lovely place to be whether boating or not. We loved our stay here. It was a very chilled weekend. Close to all locations we wanted to go to. Bar and grill had lovely food and views were great.
Fabulous apartment which was our second stay there and would highly recommend both the apartment and the customer service. Only down side for me is I know the apartment is on the market so just hoping that the new owners will still have the apartment for rental through WMV as would love to stay there in the summertime and enjoy the balcony and fantastic views even more
Very impressed with the facilities available and the cleanliness. The apartment is built and decorated to a very high standard. The queen sized bed was very comfortable. Kitchen is well equipped. The only negative was that it was too hot and the instructions say not to alter the thermostat. We turned the radiator valves down but it was still too warm.
It was such a pleasure to stay in this beautiful apartment…… we particularly enjoyed the outside area watching the boating world go by !
This is our second time here and it remains one of my favourite places to stay. The price is a tad high but it is so lovely that I'm prepared to pay it. The village is calm and relaxed, despite being near busy Bowness. The accommodation is top quality and the staff (apart from one instance) are friendly and professional. Highly recommended.
Great place, this is our 3rd time staying in this townhouse. Very clean and very well equipped. The mattress in the downstairs bedroom is a bit too firm though.
Just wonderful. From start to finish, would definitely come back again in the summertime which I think would be lovely.
We began coming to the Marina just after the original cottages were built. We enjoyed it very much, especially the spinnaker club with the pool, jacuzzi and restaurant, ideal for children. It was a shame when it was knocked down. However we have continued to come and stay there and enjoy the new apartments which replaced the cottages.

Such a lovely apartment in a block of 7. No noise internally at all even though each apartment was occupied (it was the Scottish schools half term) and a beautiful balcony with a great view. Home from home and very clean. A wonderful 5 day break. I had a meal at the Marina View which was lovely and the staff so kind and attentive. Really relaxed and enjoyed every minute thank you!
We visited with some friends to celebrate a special birthday. The property was perfect for our needs although for people who eat in a few more serving dishes and pans would be very welcome together with instructions for the soundbar, surround sound and heating! Superking bedding would also be preferable given that all the beds are of that size. Other than those few niggles we had a wonderful time and wouldn't hesitate to return!
We enjoyed an excellent few days at Windermere Marina Village. Would throughly recommend. Everything was perfect and very well thought of. Very much looking forward to staying there again.

Fantastic first floor apartment in a great location. Spacious, immaculate, well furnished and decorated to a high spec, with great views over the Marina. The customer service at the Marina is always first class and the doggy welcome-pack was a nice touch. Highly recommended, another excellent stay at the Marina Village.
Clean and tidy apartment, well equipped with everything you need for an enjoyable stay. Reception staff very helpful, I had a problem with the broadband and they came out immediately to fix it.
A lovely stay at apartment 20. Beutiful views across the marina, the Christmas lights glistening on the lake. The apartment was very clean, the beds were really comfortable. Only downside was the sofa, wasn’t the most comfortable and a bit low. Our family enjoyed the break including our dog. Thank you for the doggy welcome pack. We would return again.
The location, secure parking and accommodation was very good. The services provided within the apartment as a self catering alternative was high and comprehensive. The cost for two nights was comparable with that of a 4 star hotel. The only minor comments was that the allocated car parking space was not outside the apartment, the internet dropped out frequently and the lounge sofa was not very comfortable. The weather was warm though wet during our stay so a cover to the outside terrace would have been great so that this space could be used to experience the boats in the marina.
On arrival the receptionist was very pleasant and helpful. The apartment was lovely and warm and the layout and facilities were fantastic. The shower was brilliant and perfect after a long day out in the wet and the cold. Just a couple of notes: the extractor wasn't working in the shower room (en-suite) and the extractor in the kitchen didn’t seem to work. All in all a we had a wonderful holiday in a beautiful apartment with everything you could need. Definitely will recommend to friends and family.
We have stayed in this apartment a number of times now. The location is great, just a short walk from the ferry and Bowness with plenty of walks from the doorstep. The apartment is also dog friendly.

Excellent from start to finish. Home from home. We felt so relaxed & at home instantly. The welcome pack of milk tea & coffee etc to the cleaning box provided has you covered from the off very thoughtful. As walkers we had space to dry out our wet clothes, the washer dryer was an excellent addition & definitely helped we went home with no washing to be done at all. We found the condition of the sofa & bed much better than expected. Each night we settled on the sofa to watch tv after making full use of the kitchen & we had no trouble falling asleep in the double bed. The bathroom was modern & c...more
Lovely property. Very well equipped. Great views of the marina. Very convenient for Bowness and exploring the Lake District. As a smart home, instructions for lights, heating etc would have been handy. Could tell it was dog friendly (as non dog owners) Some dog hair and musty smell on entering.
Stunning accommodation lovely, location really peaceful with amenities so close lots of lovely walks, we had the best weather sunshine in the Autumn, if thinking of going and can’t decide go for it totally recommend
We've stayed at Marina Village many times over the years. Always enjoy our stay. First time in this flat and really liked it. Found it very clean, comfortable and quiet. Lovely view over marina. Kitchen well equipped. Quality furnishings. Welcome pack of milk/tea/ coffee etc was great as no shop nearby. Only thing needed is a bin to collect items for recycling and maybe better storage in bathroom for toiletries. Hope to stay again.
Booked the Bowness 2 for 4 of us and it was lovely. Not on the main marina row, but still such a lovely cottage. Upside down layout so you can benefit from the view to an older, smaller marina. The cottages are a little tired now, but that is reflected in the price (still very clean). Lots of utensils for 6 people and there is a bed that drops down in the lounge if you need the extra space. I would absolutely stay here again and the staff were amazing! Next time we would definitely move over to the marina side for the better view. Thank you for such a lovely stay.
Original booking very dark. New booking much better, but we did not really need a 3-bed building. Impressive, but 2 major disadvantages- north facing with no sun and very small balcony
We had another short but enjoyable stay at WMV. Booking and arrival was efficient and friendly. The Cottage was very clean and well equipped as always and location is good with Bowness in walking distance. I would however comment that Ambleside 4 cottage is showing it's age and would benefit from a general upgrade in particular dining room/ lounge furniture and some attention to bathroom eg tiling/ grouting. This did not greatly detract from our stay but the issues were noticeable and whilst we would return, perhaps not to this property.
