We absolutely loved our stay at this apartment, I don’t think I could fault it! The location is amazing, and it is easy walking distance into Bowness. Every bedroom has an en-suite which is fab (no waiting for the bathroom), and every bedroom is really spacious. Lots of wardrobe space too. The balconies are lovely and peaceful overlooking the marina and the kitchen/dining space is beautiful and again very spacious. I’d come back for sure!
Large spacious apartment with a lovely outlook. Really enjoyed our stay. Apartment spotlessly clean, comfortable and well equipped. A nice short walk into Bowness for shops, amenities and cruises. Staff on site very helpful. Good restaurant on site for easy eating out.
Our stay was excellent from start to finish. The reception staff are so helpful. The apartment was amazing, it was spotlessly clean with every utensil needed in the kitchen. Views were great too.
It was an amazing apartment very clean beds were great tbey thought about everything, staff were very friendly and were always there to help me with everything housekeeping staff were lovely too nothing enough trouble , its that good i am coming back next year xxx
We have just returned from a 7 day autumn break at 12 Marina View and have been very impressed with this apartment. Five of us stayed and we were very comfortable in this beautifully decorated place.The bedrooms are relaxing with very comfortable beds. The three bathrooms were a real bonus, too. The kitchen appliances are easy to use and of very high quality. We had family fun playing the large selection of board games provided. We had a wonderful time, as an extended family, in the larger apartment, for my parents' 80th birthdays! Great size, beautiful decor, well appointed, and super clean! The furniture and household items were all of the highest quality, and quantity.. eg: lots of cutlery, glasses, mugs etc. And the view over the marina was perfect!
This is the 6th or 7th apartment I have stayed in at WMV . All of which have been to the same high standard so expectations were met there. I have always stayed in the other side of the marina on previous visits . Everything was great with the apartment except the aspect as described in the details and I should have not taken their word for its location . It claims to be West facing , it is actually North North West so even in May on a chilly sunny week there was no balcony sun until after 5pm . Stayed at this apartment a few times now, never any issues, always perfect. Stayed on the Marina fifteen times now in total, always excellent and will keep coming back.
Great appartment and location. Very modern and well equiped. All bedrooms with on-suite so this suited our party perfectly. Cooker a little difficult to use, even after reading the compehensive instructions.
We had an excellent stay at this apartment. Really nice outlook to marina, rooms were spacious, clean and comfortable. The convenience to Bowness and ease of parking within the marina was a big plus. We have already booked to return to this apartment again.
A fantastic apartment in a very convenient location. Accommodation was excellent, spacious, clean and comfortable. A great place to stay with easy access to other areas of the Lake District and plenty of shops, bars and restaurants within walking distance. A very warm welcome on arrival. This is our second time in this apartment and we had a lovely time once again. It's a stylish and roomy apartment with a very well equipped kitchen area and good wardrobe space in the bedroom. Bathroom is lovely. Parking right outside and an easy scenic walk along the lakeside into Bowness.Things to make it even better would include new pillows in the bedroom, maybe a bit of decoration in the lounge? Also, a handrail beside the shower. The decking on the balcony could do with a paint. This time there was a bit of a "doggy" smell in the kitchen area that we didn't pick up on our last stay. Been staying at the Marina for the last ten years! The accomodation is of a high standard and the customer service is always excellent! The location is also perfect for walking and relaxing!
I have yet to have a disappointment when staying at the Marine. Would recommend it as a first class resort. Personnel always happy to happy. Keep up the good work.
Stayed Monday to Friday with 2 friends. Apartment and site were amazing, we were mesmerisedby the view from our balcony. We ate at the onside restaurant one evening and the food was very good and the staff very friendly. Loved that we were able to walk into Bowness from the apartment, we were able to jump on buses and boats. Bowness itself had a wide range of anything we needed. Had a great time and would definitely stay again and recommend to friends
I've been coming to stay here for many years, staying in various properties on site and they all tick every box. Windward Apartment 17 is very spacious, warm, comfortable, clean, well equipped and the balcony gets the sun in the morning and later in the day.
Need to put in shower cubicle or power shower instead of curtain that sticks to you back , otherwise a very comfortable accommodation.
This is our second visit and it was excellent. Nothing negative to report about. Keep it up. We used the restaurant and both my wife and selve were very satisfied with all the food we had, and would recommend anyone trying the 3 dishes offer…we had 6 between us and this gives choice not normally available in eating places.

This property was very comfortable and in a good location. The beds were extremely comfortable and I was very excited and entertained by having a tv which came out of the beds foot rest! It was certainly very quirky in the decorative features but it added to the charm of the property. Definitely recommend.
It was such a pleasure to stay in this beautiful apartment…… we particularly enjoyed the outside area watching the boating world go by !
We are regular visitors to WMV and as is normal we had an excellent stay even the weather was perfect. So all we can do is give 10 out of 10. And look forward to our next visit.
I have come back to Marina View at least 5 times, I absolutely love it. I love the views the large clean, well equipped apartments, the beautiful walk around the lake into Bowness. The staff are super friendly, helpful and I've it found the very best place to stay when coming to The Lakes

Excellent apartment, definitely 5star. Only criticism is checking out time of 10am is quite stressful and 11am would be more acceptable.
Such a lovely apartment in a block of 7. No noise internally at all even though each apartment was occupied (it was the Scottish schools half term) and a beautiful balcony with a great view. Home from home and very clean. A wonderful 5 day break. I had a meal at the Marina View which was lovely and the staff so kind and attentive. Really relaxed and enjoyed every minute thank you!
This is a great place to stay however the floor in the disabled wet room was not anti slip these was not clear on the description of the flat. My mother had a fall due to this which was not great and would advise that this is added to the description for others awareness that the bathroom floor is not anti slip.
Windermere Marina Apartments suit us very well. We have visited many times. The location is perfect, overlooking the marina, and a lovely 10 minute walk into town. The apartments are always clean and fresh. We have booked again for next year!
Always spotlessly clean. Everything provided. On-site facilities great. Only thing I would change is the over bath shower. Not good for older people, or anyone, to use safely. Bath too high. No grab rails. Bath very slippy.
The property was very well presented and provided the perfect location for our visit to the Lakes District. Although not in the town, this gave us peace and quiet and away from the crowds. It is a very pleasant walk to Bowness and Windermere, so this also gave us the opportunity to walk every day on the banks of the lake. Excellent facilities were avaialbe to us at Windward Apartment 33.
Great base to explore Windermere and surrounding areas. Accommodation was very comfortable and the kitchen well equipped. Really enjoyed our time here.
We have stayed at WMV many times, the latest being for 10 nights over Christmas and New Year 2025/2026. As always, the service and helpfulness of the staff at WMV was first class and the apartment was warm, comfortable and welcoming and had been thoroughly inspected and cleaned ahead of us arriving. Have stayed in this beautiful dog friendly apartment on many occasions and it never disappoints. It has now been made more homely with the addition of pictures, plants etc. Lovely large balcony to relax after a day out with lovely views of the marina.
Super apartment with marina views and a nice bar/bistro on site across the Marina. My parents appreciated the lift making access easy. Good stock of kitchen equipment too The only missing really was a place to trickle charge our EV at the apartment parking spot (would’t need a fast charger). We were able to top up at some fast Ionity chargers in Windermere which reception staff advised me of so that was all good in the end. Overall - excellent!
Stayed I the marina for the 3rd time definitely coming back lovely people and always great quality cottage.
Wonderful welcome at reception, staff made a fuss of our dog Skye, which shows they are definitely dog friendly and not just dog tolerant. A towel was offered for the dog and we were given milk,sugar, tea and coffee to start us off. We were also given some maps and directions to Bowness. Apartment 22 was lovely and well equipped with everything you need, even had a box of cleaning products. We will definitely return.
The Customer Service team were excellent, very helpful. We travelled with a dog and the team were very respectful of this, including a dog welcome pack. The lodge was great, a little worn but comfortable. Veranda needed a bit of a clean. On site restaurant lovely (upstairs particularly) but a bit pricey. Comments made to be helpful not critical. Great holiday, great accommodation, lovely resort, and lovely staff.
The bed was too small and uncomfortable and terrace needs updating,otherwise nice views and comfy and gd position
Stunning accommodation lovely, location really peaceful with amenities so close lots of lovely walks, we had the best weather sunshine in the Autumn, if thinking of going and can’t decide go for it totally recommend
We've stayed at Marina Village many times over the years. Always enjoy our stay. First time in this flat and really liked it. Found it very clean, comfortable and quiet. Lovely view over marina. Kitchen well equipped. Quality furnishings. Welcome pack of milk/tea/ coffee etc was great as no shop nearby. Only thing needed is a bin to collect items for recycling and maybe better storage in bathroom for toiletries. Hope to stay again.
Booked the Bowness 2 for 4 of us and it was lovely. Not on the main marina row, but still such a lovely cottage. Upside down layout so you can benefit from the view to an older, smaller marina. The cottages are a little tired now, but that is reflected in the price (still very clean). Lots of utensils for 6 people and there is a bed that drops down in the lounge if you need the extra space. I would absolutely stay here again and the staff were amazing! Next time we would definitely move over to the marina side for the better view. Thank you for such a lovely stay.
Lovely peaceful location within walking distance to Bowness. Property has lovely views overlooking both the marina and the shores of the lake. On 3 floors, well maintained and very comfortable - Really enjoyed the stay here. Was amazing
We had another short but enjoyable stay at WMV. Booking and arrival was efficient and friendly. The Cottage was very clean and well equipped as always and location is good with Bowness in walking distance. I would however comment that Ambleside 4 cottage is showing it's age and would benefit from a general upgrade in particular dining room/ lounge furniture and some attention to bathroom eg tiling/ grouting. This did not greatly detract from our stay but the issues were noticeable and whilst we would return, perhaps not to this property.
