Everything was perfect - what a beautiful place to stay! We have been meaning to book for some time and were not disappointed! So much thought has gone into everything for the lodges - we loved it. The only problem for us was the wifi but we spoke to the lovely owners and they are already reviewing this so looking forward to our next stay at Fern Lodge!
Meadow Hide was immaculately clean and well presented and was equipped with everything we needed for a fabulous week in West Sussex. If you want peace and quiet then this is it. There guage itself, although in a small group of suchlike, was very private and screened from everybody else. The Hide looks out over the fields to hedgerows beyond and we saw a plethora or wildlife. Buzzards, Red Kites, Red Wings, Green Woodpecker, all of the "normal" garden jobs - even a peacock! It chose to roost noisily in the tree above the jacuzzi and watch us. Silhouette’s Stable was absolutely brilliant. The interior appeared to be new or recently renovated, featured lovely equestrian touches, and was spotless. It was spacious and well-equipped with ample cozy seating, a smart TV, and a wonderful wood burner. Property Highlights The Garden: This was a highlight even in February. It features a patio and landscape turf, which ensured it was not muddy and remained clean even in the rain. We decided to go away with the family and used Lucky & Silhouette's accommodation. Hot tubs very clean and well painted, houses were very clean and equipment such as large fridge with ice maker and water filter in Lucky was good. The weather was good for us so we did a number of long walks with the dog. These properties are ideal for very small children as both houses have stair gates
Lucky Stables is a lovely property. It was exceptionally clean and the kitchen in particular was well equipped. There were a couple of things though that could have been improved. The ‘dog wash station’ is just an outdoor tap with no attachment. It’s not possible to wash your dog here. It was incredibly muddy so this was an inconvenience. The house is beautifully designed around a ‘Stable’ theme but this is taken too far in the downstairs loo. A stable door gives too little privacy if sharing with friends.
