We stayed here during the1st week of July with family, including our 5-month old grandchild. It was very comfortable with a spacious lounge/dining area and lovely traditional furnishings. There was plenty to explore in the area. Cuckmere Haven and Seven Sisters not far away with wonderful walks. Nearby Alfriston was charming and we loved Badger's for afternoon tea - lots of vegan and gluten free options. The Oast House is a cottage full of character in beautiful surroundings.The weather was dreadful, stormy and very windy, but we were happy to spend time relaxing in this comfortable and cosy cottage. There’s a good pub in the village, an excellent village shop in a village just a couple of miles away and we thoroughly recommend The Star Inn at Old Heathfield for food. We had an excellent meal there on New Years Day. Michael was very helpful on the phone and in person but, now that Covid restrictions are relaxed, an information handbook would be useful.
