Ambrook is a wonderful, spacious cottage for up to 8 people (we were 7). Beds were really comfortable and the kitchen and living areas had everything we needed for a week's stay over the Christmas period. Debbie and Paul were very kind and thoughtful hosts, providing extra table and chairs for when others in our party staying in another cottage joined us for dinner. The Christmas welcome pack and decorations were spot on and the whole complex itself looked very festive.

The swimming pool was excellent and we enjoyed using it every day. Even though other cottages were in use, the walls were thick and we felt very secluded and able to enjoy the peaceful surroundings.

Is there anything you think needs improving at Compton Pool?
The recommended route really is the best way in and out, wherever you are coming from / going to. An extra big warning to definitely not use satnav or google for route planning might have helped our group find their way easier. Thankfully locals in Compton were helpful and provided torches and assistance as phone/data reception was patchy at best.

Thank you so much to Debbie, Paul and Dexter for making our stay at Ambrook cottage so warm and welcoming.
We had a fantastic family break with our young children. The cottage, facilities and grounds were beautiful and the location is perfect for day trips to explore Devon and beyond. We would love to come back to visit again soon - Thank you!

The cottage was so comfortable clean and warm! The indoor heated pool was fantastic.

Really nice break in a wonderful location. Just about everything was perfect and really appreciated being able to “customise” our booking dates! The only “nitpicking” feedback would mention some slightly tired cooking utensils and a somewhat dated hifi that none of us could operate via Bluetooth. We had a wonderful time and will definitely return!

What a fantastic location and venue.
Compton Pools Farm is a great holiday destination and the facilities and management team are second to none.
A great welcome is followed by a wonderful cottage ideal for groups with great care and attention paid towards cleanliness and amenities.

What did you enjoy most about Compton Pool?
The facilities to keep children entertained including indoor pool/tennis/games room and of course the animals.

Compton ticked all the boxes. All members of the family, Grandparents to Grandchildren had a brilliant time. The Easter egg hunt was a huge hit. Swimming pool was clean and warm and the tennis court in good condition. The animals were great fun for the children. We shall be returning. Thank you.

Compton Pool Farm is a complex of farm cottages situated inland from Paington in lovely countryside. The standard of accomodation is excellent and the whole operation well run. The facilities are great for kids with indoor swimming pool, tennis court, swings ,trampoline and safe outside play areas. There is also an indoor play area with table football, billiards, etc for bad weather. Children will enjoy feed the animals every day. The owners and staff and very helpful and provide lots of useful information to help you enjoy your stay. Several good pubs close by and Dartmoor one way and the coast and beaches the other .
An excellent choice
