We had a very nice stay at the townhouse. We loves the living and dining area, the kitchen is perfextly equipped. We just stayed for 2 nights...
We hadn't booked this but were transferred as a result of an unfortunate start somewhere else. We were thrilled. Fantastic property and a great attention to detail throughout. Added bonus of watching the steam engine everyday. It is very well equipped with everything you need. My husband is disabled but managed the stairs as there are handrails both sides and not steep. Would heartily recommend.
Great holiday find close to Station and amenities. Well equipped Kitchen to suit everyone’s cooking skills ! Good size fridge and freezer, washing machine and tumble dryer easy to use. Comfortable beds in all rooms, good choice bath or shower all nice and clean. Fresh towels and shampoo etc Lounge/ dinner spacious
Everything I needed for my short stay for business in Fort William. Clean, comfortable and close to the town centre, yet in a quiet residential area. Lochiel apartment offered a convenient location with parking, and excellent pre-arrival info, so I could find it with ease and could instantly connect to the Internet, which was vital for my stay.
I had 3 weeks work in Fort William and wanted a home for that period rather than a hotel. I could not have chosen better! The accommodation was perfect for my wife and I. It was very clean, comfortable and perfectly equiped. Having parking with the properry was a plus as was the short walk to the shops. The owners were very friendly and helpful. A perfect experience all round!
Moved here after another property in town didn't work out, and very glad we did. Wasn't sure initially about the distance from the town, but turned out to be a nice short walk, and right past Morrisons which was really handy! Very comfortable, spacious and warm home with everything you need, and parking is always a huge bonus.
A fabulous cottage perfect for exploring Fort William and Ben Nevis. Added bonus of hot tub. Just what we needed
We've walked passed this cottage many times hiking on General Wade's military road and only noticed it was for hire this year. We booked it for a family vacation and it didn't disappoint. Considering the forecast, we got little rain and the cottage was a cosy refuge when the gales started!
A lovely little cottage which was clean and well maintained. The host was lovely and the location was perfect.
Perfectly located away for a quiet retreat in Scotland. Close enough to town when required. Lovely fire to keep warm.
Cottage was excellent and the beds comfy very clean on arrival with good facilities for a self contained holiday. Highlight was the seclusion. About a mile and a half from Spean bridge with no major roads and easy access to the forest meant that we could let our child out to roam free and explore. A lovely family break and very peaceful.
Cozy, neat and tidy place which, alongside with the mountain views and the Great Glen Way river walk, made me feel at home all the time. Loved the kitchen modern design with a mountain-inspired look that feels fresh. Nothing’s missing there. Sun-filled living room that made me feel cozy and relaxed. Enjoyed the books and the TV films. Absolute cleanlinesses.
Very clean with all you need to have a pleasant stay, nice and quiet, great view 10 minute drive from town centre.
Bad Daraich is a lovely large stone built house, overlooking Tobermory, with views that would be hard to beat anywhere in the world. We were fortunate to have fantastic weather too. The house has everything you'd need, including a pool table for days or nights in if the weather is not so good. The living room has a lovely bay window with seating which allows you to take in the views. There is a large dining room which easily accommodates 10-12 people, and a large kitchen and utility room. We'd have liked to have a larger fridge/freezer or a separate beer/wine fridge as with a large group of p...more
Within 15 mins walking distance of both station and town centre meaning not needing to use the car all the time. Being at the top of the building meant a great view of the surrounding area including the Jacobite steam train, the main reason for choosing this accommodation. Only thing on the downside is the amount of stairs to get to the accommodation though this is to be expected. As there is normally 2 of us unlikely to stay here again but ideal for a 2 couples with no issue with walking the number of stairs to get in and have no problem sharing a bathroom.
Burnbank pod was a lovely place to stay for a short break. The views were lovely in all weathers. It was beautifully quiet yet the village pub/hotel, cafe and shop were less than a 10 minute walk away. The pod itself was clean and fresh and made great use of the small space with everything we needed to cook, eat, sleep and relax. A really cosy and comfortable little home for our stay.
It would be better to have a toast fire alarm as ours went off regular when doing toast and jacket potatoes in the oven, maybe clean oven as well. Need more info on what all the switches are for as a bit concerning what to put on and off also bedroom light by curtains opposite side f room. My other gripe is that you booking fee is very high more than any other so will not be using you again unless nothing else. Others half the price. I cannot recommend due to the high level of this fee. Oh, a few more coat hangers However location, cleanliness, all very good.
The apartment is in a great location on the main street in Tobermory. It is spotlessly clean, check in is easy, and is comfortable for 2 people (4 might be a stretch). However it is pricey for what it is (and has gone up 40% since 2022 and 90% since 2021). At this price point, there should be more/better amenities. A big inconvenience for a self-catering apartment is the lack of a freezer compartment in the fridge - no place for ice or ice-cream etc. There is no dishwasher or washing machine, the kitchen utensils are too basic (no decent knife, 2 wine glasses, 1 bin bag supplied) and the kitch...more
Short stay after completing The Great Glen Way. Comfortable property with beautiful views of Benn Nevis.
Zugegeben...
I can’t fault this place. It is truly fabulous. A great family holiday, made perfect by staying in this wonderful holiday home, located in a beautiful place. The absolute highlight is the floor to ceiling window providing ever changing and stunning views. We will definitely be back!
Delighted with the cleanliness and location of The Galleries. Great place to have time to self and to explore this part of Scotland
The room was so small that you couldn’t swing a mouse. Apart from the tiny room there are two doors, one opens into a tiny cupboard containing a fridge and a microwave, the other into a tiny shower cubicle. I have never stayed in a smaller room which felt very claustraphobic. There is a coffee machine on a tiny shelf with 2 pods, no milk and no instructions. I spent 3 days in the place and could not get out quick enough.
We really appreciated being able to book last minute and the team at West Holidays were brilliant to deal with. The apartment itself is very nice and has a lovely view of the Loch but its location is awful. It's in a nasty council estate and the carpark had busted up vehicles and there was a car bumper in the area behind the apartment building where the clothes lines are located. The building is just ghastly as is the stairwell leading to the apartment. We didn't feel very comfortable leaving our belongings in the apartment, which was only locked with a single lock. The apartment has o...more
Eine schöne Unterkunft in Oban. Schöne Sicht auf Stadt und Meer. Gut auf internationale Gäste vorbereitet (Adapter für deutsche Netzstecker, Deutsches TV zur EM 2024).
Myself and my wife liked the cottage but couldn’t return or recommend it to others due to the creaking bed that was so irritating it forced my wife to sleep down stairs with my son on the single beds. The TV is also very small by modern day standards and therefore we found it was straining our eyes trying to watch it. Apart from this we liked the setting and everything was very clean
Useful location next to station and bus station and huge Morrison supermarket. Very short walk to the Centre of town. Spacious and well equipped. No dishwasher. Heating is by electric convector heaters, so you keep having to turn them on and off. One platform of the station is immediately parallel to the sitting room and double bedroom, so trains are about 10 yards from the windows. The Caledonian sleeper is moved there at 6:30 pm every night and revs up its diesel engine continuously until it leaves at 7:50 pm. This is very noisy and you should keep the windows closed to avoid the fume...more
