On entering the house there was a definite musty, fusty odour. The lounge sofa was covered in stains which was rather off-putting. Throughout the property could have done with a paint refresh,

The bathroom needed a through clean and could have done with being renewed mastic where panelling met tiles in bathroom. There was grime under the taps at the sink, grime in basin overflow and a trail of yuck descending from the bath rail and a rusted towel holder attached in the shower. Mould in the corners of the bath at wall and shower screen (needs re-grouting). I was reluctant to use the shower and spent as little time as possible in the bathroom.

We left a day early as we were disappointed in property.

We did email phots and our concerns to letting agent who duly acknowledge these and informed us they would pass these to owner & cleaner

Sandpiper provided the perfect little bolt hole for our stay in Anstruther. We had everything we needed; sandpiper was warm and well appointed and located right at the harbour which was beautiful. There is also a corner shop five minutes walk away and the staff there are so friendly. A home from home.

This was a lovely duplex apartment to stay in for a few nights. Just beside the Fife coastal path and walking distance to the tidal people. Also great for visiting the pub and restaurant 2 doors down. Very comfortable and cosy. No parking at the door but easy to park near the harbour which is just a couple of mins away. Parking is free. The access is via a gap between two walls from the street which opens up into an open courtyard also accessed by other flats. Courtyard is old and traditional with steps and very old flagstones which comes with a listed area which cannot be changed. It’s very lovely but not for people who are unsteady at walking etc. Enjoyed staying there and would definitely consider as an option for future if revisiting.

My friend and myself enjoyed our stay at "Sandpiper".It was very clean, cosy and almost next door to the harbour and a grassy coastal walk.My friend has mobility problems, so the internal stairs presented a problem from time to time, but she managed. Quiet too and my little dog was welcome as "Sandpiper" is dog friendly. Allin all a good experience.I hope to go back at some point soon.
