The Swallows is a beautifully presented holiday home with a garden and parking, situated in the peaceful and idyllic village of Kingsbarns, just a 10 minute drive from the historic town of St Andrews. Set across one level, this outstanding three-bedroom holiday rental provides every comfort for up to 5 guests and is perfect for families, golfers or couples wishing to step off the world for a while and relax in this tranquil part of the world.

This Kingsbarns holiday cottage is a ‘home from home’ with a sociable open plan living area, a light and bright conservatory, a fully-equipped kitchen (with a fridge, coffee maker, washing machine, microwave, oven, and a range of cooking utensils), a family bathroom, easy parking, a television, internet — all of which will help you to relax, unwind and enjoy the company of loved ones throughout your stay. You’ll be able to pack relatively light because, upon arrival, you’ll find freshly laundered linen and towels, as well as toiletries. There are also hair dryers in the bedrooms.

We were return visitors and found this property to be just as good as last time. It was clean and very well prepared. The kitchen had everything you would need to cook any type of meal. The property is also well placed to allow you to explore St Andrews and the Fife coast.

This is a fantastic property. It was presented really well and Kingsbarns is a beautiful location. I have mobility issues so the property all being on one level was a god send for me. The kitchen had everything in it you could ever need. Beds were very comfortable. There was only two of us, and our small dog, so we had lots of room. I think if there were 5 adults staying another bathroom would make the property perfect.

We were at the Swallow from 17th to 24th April 2023. The weather was dry all week, with good sunny spells, but unfortunately always accompanied by a bitingly cold east wind. We are in our late eighties, so spent a lot of the time just relaxing, reading etc within the property. We found the house warm at times, enjoying the front porch in the morning, sittin the sun, , comfortable, and well furnished. We did a lot of our own cooking, and found the kitchen extremely well equipped. We had all our meals at the table in the conservatory, which we really enjoyed. We had a couple of trips to the beach. and enjoyed the food and chat with those who owned The Shack.
