We were looking to spending a few quiet days away in a location that offered good views and undisturbed relaxation. We certainly found it at the Kestrel Retreat. The stay exceeded our expectations as we relaxed in this peaceful property that has a great view of the rolling hills and farmland. The welcome hot tub added to the relaxation. We ventured out a couple of times, going on a local walk and also driving to Symonds Yat, both times very much looking forward to returning to the property. Communication with our host, Sarah, both before and afterward was excellent. I am sure we will be back!
We stayed in Barn Owl retreat, a cosy, modern and exceptionally well equipped cabin located on the top of a countryside hill, showcasing an exceptional view across the Herefordshire countryside from the comfort of the sofa. A lovely welcome hamper was provided which had some excellent treats for us to enjoy from the get go. The cabin itself boasts high tech equipment within, including a Sonos sound system in every room, controlled by an iPad, and an excellent coffee machine with coffee pods provided. Our second stay and all just as wonderful as the first time. For us, the retreat provides a place to just step back from our busy lives, relax and clear some headspace. It is such a peaceful place. From enjoying daybreak on the deck, to watching wildlife, clouds and ever changing landscape, to enjoying a spa bath in the evening under the stars every night. Enjoyed several walks direct from the lodge, took a picnic up to the nearby trig point a favourite spot for us too which also has fab views.
