Beautiful countryside location, tucked away yet ideal for exploring the Lakes. The Bothy was warm & comfortable with a large attractive garden. Highlight was walking across farmland with stunning views, for a Sunday roast at 18th century inn. We really enjoyed our stay and would highly recommend.
We really loved the few days away we had at Gardeners Retreat. We loved the location, we went for a couple of walks straight from the cabin and the scenery was beautiful. The hot tub was a great edition to the stay. Would really recommend staying here!
We stayed in Herdwick Cabin which had a beautiful view from the decking and hot tub. The cabins are situated in a great area for exploring Keswick and surrounding areas . Prior to arrival there was lots of contact from Kate with regular updates and guidance. There was a welcome pack on arrival and everything you need for a self catering stay is provided in the cabin. The cabin was clean and cosy and we would definitely return for another stay. There is a well stocked farm shop and cafe 5 minutes drive away and the pub that is recommended in Dacre is well worth a visit!
My partner and I enjoyed our week long lovely stay in Yew Tree Cabin. The Cabin was spotless and they had thought of everything. The kitchen was fully equipped, the hot tub was fantastic, the bed was comfy and there were fresh towels and dressing gowns provided. All our communication with the owner Kate was excellent. We were sent updates after our booking of the best places/ eat and drink on our visit which was a lovely extra touch as well as a great digital guidebook. The cottage is lovely cosy and comfortable. We loved seeing the red squirrels and the birds in the garden. A great location for exploring such a beautiful area. We hope to return.
Brow wood tick our box for the winter escape we wanted. Great location for access to the northern Lake District. Hot tub was fantastic after a long walk but as advised it took a lot of wood and time to warm up due to the chilly weather but once it was warm we had a lovely relax and bonus of listening to the owls near by. We really enjoyed our stay and look forward to our next visit.
Great cabin, neat and tidy with fantastic customer service. Highly recommended, would book again. 5 stars
