A perfect weekend away from the chaos of modern life, the new Gardeners Retreat has everything you could need. Very secluded within the estates walled garden with a log fired hot tub for two. Beautiful bed linen, towels and kitchen crockery add a touch of complete luxury to your escape. Thoroughly recommend a stay
We had a large family gathering over new year. It was wonderful. A well equipped house with nearly everything we could have asked for, we all had a fabulous time. It was perfectly clean and everything worked as it should, heating, shower, kitchen etc. I would definitely return. Minor issue with the cooking pans had obviously been abused in the past and the only other thing is because of its location you have to drive away to get a walk. You cannot walk directly from the house. Too close to the busy road and the fields around were far too wet and muddy, don't attempt too without proper wellies...more
We were so happy with our stay at Lacet Cottage. It was so gorgeous and very clean, and so well laid out for dogs as well (the door at the bottom of the stairs was so useful to keep the dogs contained). The bed (we only used one) was very comfortable and shower felt very luxury. The kitchen was very well equipped for cooking which was important with the cottage being fairly remote - we cooked dinner at home every evening for the week we were there. The gardens were really lovely and we loved the sheep and cows in the neighbouring fields. The gardens aren't fully enclosed, we'd brought long ...more
Another brilliant stay loved every minute. Will definitely be back Everything that you need is there from modern appliances to soft cosy towels and bedding, lovely to relax after a long walk in the hot tube
We really enjoyed staying at Home Farm. It was warm, comfortable and spacious. Great views and convenient for the northern lakes and the Lowther valley.
We absolutely loved our weekend stay at Brow Wood Cabin! Kate was so helpful prior to arrival with helping to organise some birthday balloons and even leaving a bottle of Prosecco to help celebrate. We had a lovely welcome hamper on arrival. The cabin itself is beautifully decorated and in a great location to drive out to different places in the Lakes. Kitchen is well kitted out. Bed was super comfy. We brought our dog with us which was great. The under floor heating was a treat. But the only downside was no radiator to dry the dogs towels off so I’d recommend to bring a few with you!
Myself and my partner stayed in Herdwick Cabin for 2 nights to celebrate his 30th birthday. The cabin itself is lovely, really nicely decorated, clean and has everything you would need and even though there is 4 cabins it feels quite private which is nice. The bed was really comfy and even though it is very close to the A66 we felt it was really quiet and peaceful. You also get a lovely little hamper with Prosecco, fudge and biscuits which is nice. The hot tub is lovely, you are provided with a starter pack of logs and kindling, but there was only 3 bits of kindling when we arrived meaning ...more
We loved our time here - the cabin had everything we needed and more for a comfortable stay, and we definitely could've stayed longer. The kitchen was well stocked and we loved the hot water tap for ease. The underfloor heating warmed the cabin well and even dried all our laid out wet hiking gear! The hot tub did take a few hours of putting wood on/stirring the water to get hot enough for us but luckily we had enough time to do this, as once hot we preferred it to a normal hot tub - found it much more comfortable and relaxing! Also loved the welcome hamper and the robes - made the stay feel lu...more
