This was a really nice place to stay. The accommodation was of a high standard. The bathroom was very nicely done and the bed was clean and comfy. The kitchen appliances were modern and of good quality. The staff who we met (only 2) were helpful and friendly. The grounds of Netherby Hall are very well kept and a pleasure to stroll around. The only gripe we had and its only a small one, was that the TV would not connect to Netflix or Disney Plus type channels... not really a big issue, but in the evening there isn't a great deal to do after you've had your tea, other than relax and enjoy the peacefulness of the place; so it would have been good to watch a movie, however, all we could get the TV to play was a couple of basic channels. This minor drawback would not stop my wife and I from recommending Netherby Hall as a good place to stay, although for us a couple of nights was enough.

Dad & I had the perfect stay, stunning location, first class accommodation, friendly staff, Christmas markets to complete our relaxing, mindfulness weekend after Mum passing. Time out for Dad just to be in the moment reflecting, walking and talking.

A Wonderful Stay at Netherby Hall

We had an amazing stay at Netherby Hall and couldn’t be more impressed. The apartment was fantastic—comfortable, beautifully appointed, and equipped with everything we needed for our short break. Everything was in top-notch condition, and we couldn’t fault a single thing.

The location within the Hall’s grounds was absolutely lovely, offering a serene and charming atmosphere. The service was excellent, and every staff member we met was incredibly helpful, pleasant, and welcoming, making our stay truly memorable.

To top it all off, our meal at Pentonbridge was the perfect finishing touch to an already perfect experience.

Highly recommended—we can’t wait to return!

This was our second trip to Netherby Hall and we were (again) very pleased with our stay.

The self-service check-in process (because we arrived late in the day) was very easy. The apartment was immaculately clean, warm, well-equipped and in excellent condition, with preserved history. Fantastic.

We also took the opportunity to visit Pentonbridge Inn one evening, which was truly exceptional. Made even more enjoyable by the complimentary transfer there with the brilliant Geoff (who also kindly checked us out at the end).

We also took a quick walk around the walled garden, which was lovely.

We hugely value that Netherby Hall welcomes dogs. We hope to meet the owners’ labs at some point in the future!

A wonderful break made extra special by the friendly and welcoming team. Very comfortable apartment, a calm and special atmosphere also pervades the grounds and surroundings. A truly good place to stay and soak up the historical context of the hall. Beautifully and sympathetically restored especially the stable block and walled garden. Lovely grounds and very dog friendly. Stay enhanced by meeting the owners, the horses and seeing the carriages etc.

Stair access to a beautiful one bed room flat great size and excellent layout bathroom spacious, Staff very friendly and helpful, grounds of hall are great for walking and dogs love the freedom.

We stayed at this wonderful location for two nights after being married in Gretna Green, it was everything we could of wished for. I'm a local tradesperson and visit and work in properties of all descriptions on a daily basis, I know it's maybe a little sad but I do have a keen, experienced and critical eye for details. The title says it all, this place is perfection, its obvious a lot of time, effort, thought and money has gone into making this venue the best it could possibly be. We both loved it and would definitely return. A beautiful place.
