Lower Elsford Farm is a brilliant little bolt hole with excellent facilities and ideal for small families with children.
We stayed in a lovely clean and comfortable cottage with everything we would need, set within the most beautiful grounds, with excellent amenities for the children. The location was gorgeous, peaceful, and ideal for exploring Dartmoor National Park, the coast, and everything else the area has to offer. Jan and Paul were such welcoming hosts, they went above and beyond with little extra touches and great local recommendations. We absolutely did not want to leave, and cannot wait to rebook. There really is something special about Lower Elsford Farm!
We stayed at Torfield recently with our toddler, and it's safe to say that all of us absolutely loved it. The cottage had everything we needed with the lovely additional welcome of home grown apple juice, baked goodies and a card from Paul and Jan. They were great with communication beforehand, and Paul was there to meet us on arrival to give us a tour of the facilities - and what facilities they are! We found the accommodation and facilities to be high standard and in a lovely location. The grounds are lovely to walk around and the Elsford Tor in the far field is a very special place, and one which our grandchildren would love to climb and explore! The views are very special as you look over the moors themselves. Well positioned for accessing the moors, Totnes and even Dartmouth. Once you are out of the smaller lanes, the roads are free flowing and easy to get around. Loved the 'games' room and enjoyed playing a lot of records we grew up listening to in 70's and the juke box.
