Lower Elsford Farm is a brilliant little bolt hole with excellent facilities and ideal for small families with children.
We arrived and were happily shown around the farm, Paul was brilliant just the thing after driving over and the cream tea on arrival was thankfully received! Garden cottage was perfect, impeccably turned out and a wonderful base camp for our stay.
Our family of 4 stayed at Lower Elsford Farm over the August Bank Holiday. Our cottage (Pond View) was perfectly equipped and very comfortable, and the location is stunning. We were greeted with a traditional home made cream tea in our cottage, a nice touch. We enjoyed the games room, on site pool and loved collecting fresh eggs in the morning from the redident hens. But the best thing for us was the wonderful hospitality of the hosts Paul and Jan. Paul even gave our youngest a ride in his tractor, which was an amazing experience. Hosts could not have been more accommodating. For example: - We arrived to find homemade apple cake, fresh apple juice, flap jacks and other treats. - We collected eggs everyday, delicious! - Hosts gave us fresh cucumber and tomatoes from their greenhouse - Gave kids a ride on the tractor Overall a great stay, nice pool, games, lots of walks.
