Part of the SummerHouse Luxury Holiday Lets complex, Old Stables is a grand house in the middle of the Chew Valley overlooking the stunning Mendip foothills. Old Stables boast use of a heated indoor swimming pool with a hot tub, steam room & changing rooms. There are four lux bedrooms, three are en-suite, comfortably sleeping eight people with additional small pull-out beds for three, plus a pair of sofa beds for four more in our spacious reception rooms. Pictures don't do Old Stables justice!

The Old Stables was perfect for our multi generation family weekend away. The flexibility of the sleeping arrangements allowed everyone to have the space they needed. The beds were very comfortable and the whole place was nicely furnished. We particularly liked the size and arrangement of the kitchen, which was great for family cooking of the meals and the cleaning up afterwards. The outdoor space was great for the children to run around in and the location, immersed in the green, had breath taking views. The pool was the biggest reason we booked the Old Stables and it didn’t disappoint. The water was warm which meant the children could spend a couple of hours in the pool without feeling chilled. The whole family enjoyed the jacuzzi, and the steam room was a nice touch. I was impressed by the number of towels and gowns available. I would, without doubt, recommend the Old Stables as a great place to stay and we are hoping to return for a longer time in the near future.

A beautiful place to stay with stunning views across the countryside . The well heated pool is fabulous and great for the kids.

Beautiful property with the most amazing view of the Pensford Viaduct. Really well equipped especially for larger parties such as us with lots of cooking equipment and crockery. Thoughtful touches like fans for every room which was much needed in the heatwave. Bedrooms beautiful and beds very comfortable. Pool was a great treat and very clean. A very great find in such a fabulous location with many lovely pubs in walking distance. Highly recommend
