Our family, who lives in Port Appin, found these incredible properties for us and they couldn’t have been more perfect! We had the cottage and the apartment and we had more than enough room for our two families, totaling eight people. Comfortable rooms, kitchen equipped with everything you could need and the washer/dryer was a plus. Beautiful and peaceful setting - just perfect!
We booked a week in Scotland for October half term to see some mountains. We’ve been to Scotland many times before but not in the autumn, so were not quite sure what to expect. Steading Cottage was an excellent base to explore the Oban area. The weather was not great but Scotland was simply stunning in it’s autumn colours, enhanced by low cloud and the occasional shower sweeping past. We had enough clear weather to climb the favourites in the area. Even the teenagers had a great time, finding waterfalls to swim in.
