Had a wonderful time here with my wife and newborn, caught lots of fish and thought it was superb value for money.
Fantastic place, great views, lovely out door space, very spacious inside and very well equipped. Felt very lucky to have found it.
Previously stayed in natures nook , was aware of location and surrounding area. The website is pretty accurate, shows off property very well.Great for an amateur fisherman, who enjoys the environment and a drink as well . The A47 roadworks were a nuisance.,as was the cucumber Lane roundabout. Although the property allows dogs , there was no evidence or smells from Previous users.Vilage is not walkable, but pub and bakery is.Probably a great location all year around. We will be back.
The lodge was spotlessly clean, and everything you would need for a stay, it felt like home away from home. The doggy basket was a real hit with our Max who was on his first holiday. We enjoyed sitting outside the lodge watching the swans and exploring Norfolk. A really lovely stay! Not a lot of luck fishing for my dad but hasn’t put us off staying again.
It’s a really nice Lodge in a quiet area close to amenities and just 10 mins by train from Norwich. There are some good pub/restaurants available in nearby villages too. We recommend The Stag at Salhouse. The fishing was a little disappointing but we made up for it by going to Holly Farm Lakes for the day and had good results there. The train from Wroxham to Aylsham was fun too.
My family thoroughly enjoyed their stay at Flag House. Beautiful riverside location with wildlife on your doorstep. Caught lots of bream and rudd too, would recommend to anyone seeking a peaceful location.
Tina goes over and above to make sure customers are happy. Great location. Not sure I like the single bed above a small double but I am on the large side!! Nice walk in shower. Very comfortable lounge area. Kitchen fully equipped. Veranda and outdoor seating great.
Lovely, clean lodge, plenty of space and comfortable. Very peaceful. Kitchen is well equipped but one thing we missed was an oven dish. If you’re planning on fishing from the garden… it’s not worth it. Very few fish and all small, other families from neighbouring lodges also commented on this. Food at the White Heron pub at the entrance to the marina was nice and the staff were lovely. Had takeaways from the Bay Leaf Indian and New World Chinese, both were very good. Would book again but also hire a boat to be able to move along the river to better fishing locations.
Been here before and will be back next year nice and quiet enjoyed the fishing location perfect and love Brundall village and Wroxham not too far away Cheers see you next time
An excellent lodge that was comfortable for all six visitors. Great fishing especially in the evening. Great position.
