Loved our stay at River Rest. We had fabulous weather last week but even if it wasn't it would still of been such a great place to relax for a week. The pictures don't do it justice. Very private, Clean, well situated. The lodge is comfortable & has everything you need. The village itself has a co-op takeaways & a great handyman store where you can buy Swan & Duck food for the many visitors you will have! Loved this place for a short autumn stay, local pub was great, not sure I would want to be here high season as I think’ it would get crowded.and might get some trouble with one lane road. If you have kids 8nto water sports then it would be great. I would come back again in early or late season,
We took our 90+ parents for a short break to Flag house -chosen with help from Tina at Norfolk lodges for its amazing position -lots to look at on the river boats/ sailing/ and feeding the ducks and swans which they loved.bedrooms and bathrooms all on ground floor and we didn’t really need upstairs! Would definitely return with more able bodied family and hire a boat!!
What an amazing cottage. Everything you could need for a lovely holiday. Spotlessly clean. Brilliant location. We had the pleasure to meet Tracy when we arrived , very welcoming and helpful. We will definitely return 10/10 for everything
Absolutely loved our stay in river bay everything in the lodge was absolute quality very very comfortable and everything we needed, it was very quiet and very peaceful it was lovely sitting on very comfortable outdoor furnature watching the swans and ducks
Lovely clean lodge Smelt clean Appreciate milk in fridge Mattress too soft for us but thats our own preference and perhaps a bigger mirror in double room. Great fishing at night..think their disturbed in the day with boat traffic but it was lovely watching them and the people were waving when they went passed. Would definitely book again. Ducks very friendly
Comfort marked down as bed was very very creaky and at one point it cracked and creaked so loud we thought it had broken. This only happened when we got in and out of the bed but it was very loud and disturbing to us both as at our age we wake at different times during the night due to bladder issues. So please tighten was needs tightening or repair what needs repairing before we return again in May. This was why we did not mark it 10 out of 10. We have recommended it to family and friends but so far no 10% discount coming our way maybe because it is too small for a family.
We stayed for three nights and the stay was fantastic. The lodge is well equipped, with everything you could need for a comfortable stay. It was clean and the information pack is so helpful.
Only thing I suggest is the balcony needs a proper safety rail there's a 4 foot drop, with only a wire cable a child could easily fall through it
