The Grange offers combined access to both Greystones and The Granary with dog-friendly, self-contained accommodation with private entrances for six people. Beautifully positioned on the edge of Sutcombe village, with views across our courtyard rooftop and the garden to the surrounding countryside and fields beyond.

The Grange is the perfect multi-generational holiday space, for everyone to be 'all together' and equally separate spaces if you want to 'do your own thing' or have quiet time apart.

We only stayed at this property for a few days as it was a birthday treat but we wish it had been longer. The cottage was lovely and cosy and clean and tidy and certainly very dog friendly. The welcome goodies were a lovely surprise and went down a treat with both humans and dogs. The garden was very secure, unlike some we have stayed at before, and if the dogs were left outside on their own there was no concerns of them escaping. All the little touches that were provided such as towels, hand gel, toilet rolls, kitchen rolls were so thoughtful as well as dog towels, dog bags, beds and yummy biscuits. The owners were very helpful and welcoming and the location is lovely and quiet. We had a lovely relaxing break and would certainly recommend this property to anyone wanting to visit North Devon.

Beautiful cottage in a lovely quiet countryside location. Comfort & cleanliness second to none and extremely well equipped - even the dogs had their own towels, treats, bowls and shower which was essential with the weather we had! The attention to detail and the amount of extras ( shower gel, shampoo, hand wash & hand lotion in all the bathrooms, everything you could possible need in the kitchen etc) amazing.
Chris & Laura amazing and very helpful hosts & on hand for anything
We were a party of 6 adults, 2 children (2 & 4 months) & 4 dogs and had plenty of space. The granary self contained space was perfect for our son & partner with their baby. The garden is lovely and the enclosed orchard and woodland a perfect space to exercise the dogs. Would not hesitate to recommend this amazing place and hope to return soon.

We were very pleased with how clean and tidy the property was on our arrival. The welcome tray consisting of tea/coffee, cake, and fudge along with fresh milk in the fridge was a very nice touch. This is a very dog friendly property and it showed the owners are dog lovers too as evidenced by the dog treats, poop bags, towels and outside shower which we made best use of during our stay with our three dogs. The owners were on hand if we needed and made us feel very welcome. The back garden is a nice size and with access to the woodland walk and the orchard where our dogs could get some extra exercise and sniffing time were both great. We did a few of the local short and longer walks described in the Information Pack which were lovely. Both showed what a lovely, quiet, countryside location Sutcombe is. The village is accessible via quiet country lanes and is well located approximately 30 mins or so from Bude, Sandymouth and Westward Ho! We really enjoyed our stay and will recommend the property along with north Devon and Cornwall to friends and family.

If you’re looking for a pristine, gorgeous cottage with the best hosts you’ll ever come across, then this is the place for you!
Initially I was nervous to book such an immaculate looking property, having five dogs, but Chris and Laura really get it and the property is really set up for your dogs to be part of the family during your stay, not just tolerated. That being said, if you don’t have dogs, you definitely couldn’t tell that this was a dog friendly cottage- it’s incredibly immaculate!
Absolutely everything is thought of, and the whole cottage is kitted out with the best of everything.
We stayed as a family of five humans and five dogs and booked both cottages, which enabled Mum to have her own wing- which she adored! (As an aside, I do think this was incredible value for money as well and enabled a multigenerational holiday at its best!)
Chris and Laura have been the very best hosts we could’ve wished for. So friendly and incredibly kind. We had an incident whereby we needed an emergency vet and Chris was just the best at responding to my queries instantly and going out of his way to help us.
My boys have adored running in the orchard with Flint (who is wonderful) and Tarka (who is equally wonderful, at a higher speed!) and we have loved chatting to Chris and Laura, they are such nice people with a wealth of knowledge about the local area and recommendations for everything.
Thank you so much for having us.

Beautiful location- a pleasure to sit catching the sun and listening to the bird chorus and nature. Some local walks in woodlands and along country lanes and public footpaths.

The property was extremely well maintained with hosts/owners with good communication and thoughtfulness to our needs.

It has a well equipped games room and enclosed garden and very dog friendly.

There is an electric charger, great bonus!

With so many dogs it is very difficult to find a place that is accommodating, accessible, comfortable and safe. This place outstrips all the other multi dog cottages I have stayed in and that’s quite a few having seven border collies. No sea view but who needs that when you have a private woodland and orchard to let the dogs have a stretch and the coast is ten minutes away. Don’t try and book this in November for the next decade as that’s where I am gonna be with my dogs

We had a brilliant stay here at the end of august. We couldn’t have asked more of our hosts, Chris & Laura. We arrived a day early, but didn’t realise this until we’d parked up in the car park. We’d travelled 4 hours and had our food delivery arriving the same day. After phoning Chris and explaining the situation, within a couple of hours he’d sorted the situation out for us. Not the start we’d wanted but made a lot smoother by the help and calmness of our hosts.
The accommodation itself is one of the best we’ve stayed in. Clean, well equipped and extremely practical for the 5 of us and a dog. Beds are very comfy and plenty of extra pillows etc if you need them. Our kids loved the games room which was s nice touch and a great extra area for you to enjoy. The garden/orangery are great too. Unfortunately we didn’t get out there as much as we’d like to due to the weather but nevertheless it’s a great place to relax.
Sutcombe is a small village with very friendly residents. There is a park behind the old school with a small football pitch. There’s lots of walks in the surrounding area.
While we were there we visited Clovelly (our favourite place), Tamar Lakes, Bude, Padstow, Westward Ho and Milky Way Adventure. Everywhere we went was lovely. Clovelly was exceptionally nice. It’s a steep walk but definitely worth it. We could have spent all day there if it wasn’t for the weather. Padstow was another one we liked, it is a bit busier but the beaches are perfect for the kids and dog to have a run. We were slightly disappointed with Milky Way, it was an expensive day out and there was only a few rides, again the weather didn’t help but we struggled to make a full day of it.
Location wise it is remote but we knew this beforehand and it’s exactly what we wanted. It’s very quiet and peaceful with no traffic noise. There’s surrounding villages/towns close by (5-10 mins drive) ie bradworthy/holsworthy with shops etc and then the coast is around a 20-25 mins drive.

Overall excellent holiday. Only slightly let down by the weather. Would 100% stay again. Brilliant hosts. Brilliant accommodation. You won’t be disappointed.

A very well equipped, comfortable and clean accommodation despite its age. Could not have asked for more! Found a lovely welcome note along with a tray of goodies on arrival. Washing up liquid, gloves, toilet rolls, hand soap, shower gel, hairdryer & so much more was provided. The dog was well catered for too. Highly recommended! The very pleasant owners came to introduce themselves too. The only negative thing for us was the location. As we wanted to do a lot of sightseeing we had to do a lot of driving, which meant alot of concentration when driving down the very narrow roads in the area. We found this very tiring. However, this would not deter us returning to the accommodation as it was outstanding in our opinion.

The cottage was sparklingly clean and well equipped, with the best information booklet I have come across. The owners were welcoming and extremely helpful, and have clearly put a great deal of thought and care into what they have provided for visitors and their dogs. We were extremely comfortable (6 of us of three generations and one dog). The garden and the Woodland Walk and orchard were lovely places to walk in, though unfortunately we were unable to take advantage of the fire pit etc as the weather was not good. Delightful.
