The Dower House at Solsgirth Home Farm is a luxury home on a country estate, sleeping up to four guests. Located on the ground floor, there is space for relaxing indoors and out, with its own private garden, and access to footpaths around the working farm, which features rhea, emu and llama, as well as traditional pig, cattle and sheep breeds. A short drive away are fantastic walks in the hills or along the coast, with several Scottish cities within one hour’s drive.

The location for our needs was ideal. The property layout, decor and comfort touches have been well-thought through. The service is second-to-none. And, the welcome basket and farm walks were unexpected added treats. Thank you Solsgirth Home Farm for a wonderful stay. We will return!

We booked the Dower House and the Farmhouse for a group of friends to celebrate a the PhD graduation at Stirling for one of us. The Dower House was perfect for us, as we needed two accessible ensuite rooms and plenty of space for the group. The setting on Solsgirth Estate provided spaces for peaceful escapes as well as comfortable and interesting living rooms and gardens where everyone could gather. We were exceptionally lucky with the midsummer weather and got full use of the beautiful estate around us, with easy visits to Castle Campbell and Dollar glen too. Everyone we met at Solsgirth was super-helpful and welcoming. Altogether a wonderful stay, full of good memories from our special occasion. If you’re looking for family space around graduation- this is a fantastic choice.

This place was beautiful. Our host was lovely. We fed hairy coos, and baby lambs while staying in a beautiful old home. It was absolutely lovely.

This flat is just fantastic everything you need and more
The bedrooms are amazing both with en suite and the best make you want to stay in bed so comfy
The living room with high ceilings are stunning amd the kitchen has everything you need
Now outside is so peaceful and the hot tub is great
The team at Solsgirth are just incredible and stayed in house and flat and both are just incredible

We were welcomed with a great basket of helpful and delicious food. The house was so charming, the bedroom’s spacious and the bed and bedding extremely comfortable. We had a great weekend and wished we could have stayed longer.

We stayed with our young family in Dower House at Solsgirth Home Farm for four nights.
The standard of the accommodation was out of this world, incredibly comfortable beds, luxurious pillows and linen, and wonderful thick ceiling to floor curtains.
The kitchen was kitted out with all top of the range appliances and although we didn't use the wood burning stove it would make a beautiful focal point in the winter months
If it wasn't for the farm animals, we wouldn't have gone outside as Dower house was so so comfortable
Our children age 6,9 and 12 absolutely loved been given the chance to simply be ´part of the farm´
Jan, who is the owner, took time each day to arrange a time to meet her and feed the baby lambs and goats! Can you imagine!! childhood memories were made, for me too!!
Jan was so kind and informative and we spent 2 hours on her personal farm safari which was great fun
we would highly recommend a stay here and will hopefully be returning next year. Thank you again The Racknitz - Macleod Family Torridon

We booked The Dower House as additional accommodation for a family party. It was a lovely space and even though it only sleeps four there was enough room in the main open plan area for everyone to comfortably get together. The views of the sheep in the morning with the hills in the background was fun and felt like we were on a farm but in luxury!
