Springfield Farm Holiday Pods is a unique place if you want to enjoy the coutryside close to the city. My husband an I stayed for five days and enjoyed the farm atmosphere with the animals and the beautiful view of the Pentland Hills. The location is close to a nice range of restaurants and supermarkets in Penicuik and it is also half an hour from Edinburgh if you choose to enjoy the metropolitan life, with all the variety of activities and tourist places that this beautiful city has to offer. We really enjoyed our stay the hot tub was great and in better weather the bbq would be great only small thing was that the double bed was very high up and no sides and as I’m disabled was no good for me that’s all but thank you for a lovely stay
Lovely view of the Pentland Hills and Arthur's Seat in the distance. Quiet location and great to have livestock close by. Saw deer and a rather majestic hare. The king size bedroom is very bright when lights are on with no facility to switch on a bedside lamp for eg reading. More subdued lighting that can be switched off from bed would be a bonus. Good sized shower. Didn't use hot tub. All in all a lovely place to stay.
The pod was lovely and clean, everthing you needed was provided. The hot tub was lovely and warm with views over towards the Pentland hills. So many homely touches, we loved our stay so much, was a much needed break. Would definitely book again.
