Great cottage for a really restful and relaxing stay. Our 3rd visit and this time the good weather was an extra bonus.
Basics and welcome basket much appreciated. Great not to have to think about taking tea/coffee/washing up etc.
Nice walks. Very friendly and helpful local people especially the owner. Good places to eat out.

I have stayed in the Ardmiddle Mains Cottages on a number of accessions now and cannot fault the location, comfort and welcome that I receive. The weather was not so kind this time round which makes the cottage feel more like home when one is stuck indoors with children. The surrounding countryside is a joy to behold and wild life has become a feature, from Deer roaming the fields to of birds of prey spotting.
All in all a most pleasant stay.

This is our third stay at these cottages - Eastwood and Westlea - and cannot fault them at all. Great location to Turriff and surrounding areas and places of interest. Cottage very clean and cosy with everything you need for a relaxing stay. Lovely views. Kate the owner is so very friendly, welcoming and helpful. Its our regular accommodation now on our yearly visit to Scotland and would not want to stay anywhere else. A real home from home.

We had a great time here, staying in a house that had been home to me over 40 years ago! It was so beautifully quiet and peaceful. We were warmly welcomed and would love to return!

This was our second visit to Ardmiddle - we stayed in Westlea cottage last year. Both are exactly the same in comfort, facilities and cosyness.

Fully equiped home from home with fabulous views and around 3 miles from Turriff which has a good selection of restaurants and a Tesco.

Kate the owner has become a friend to us now and is so very welcoming and helpful.

We have found our dream accommodation for our yearly trip to Scotland.

We so enjoyed the quiet, peaceful setting of this lovely cottage! The garden, the swing set, the fireplace and the nearby nature walks made this a lovely base for our family as we explored the coast (Cullen Skink in Cullen! and the Fraserburgh Lighthouse) as well as Stone Circles and Pictish Stones in the area. Thank you so much for a relaxing stay!

A great cottage in a lovely location. The cottage has all the amenities and the welcome basket with local treats was very welcome. Kate is a great host and provides an excellent service. She kindly helped to rearrange bookings to accommodate us. A stay here is very recommended.

The owners are known to us but we were a commercial stay. We have family in the area to visit so location is fabulous for us. Cleanliness was excellent and a number of little extras made staying self catering a little easier such as finding cleaning products, tin foil, salt etc in the cupboards. Would both recommend and revisit.

We have stayed here before and this visit was just as comfortable as last time. The welcome basket was very generous (and yummy) and helped us to feel at home very quickly. The views and wildlife are great. It is perfectly situated for exploring the coast of the Moray Firth. Kate made us feel very welcome and was there if we needed anything.

Had a super few days at Eastwood. The cottage is located just outside Turriff and has everything you need. The immediate area is fantastically peaceful and beautiful. Kate is a wonderful host and super helpful with her knowledge of the area. The cottage itself is clean, comfortable and very well presented. I would highly recommend this and will be returning in the future.

This is the second time we have stayed at Ardmiddle Mains Cottages this year as we loved it so much and before we came home have booked up again! Although we are able bodied we will be bringing my Disabled Mother with us next time as the cottage is ideal for her with downstairs bedroom and toilet.The cottage is located in beautiful surroundings and the owner is a joy to be around.There is everything at the cottage you need with a busy family or just on your own.Very well equiped with washer,dryer,cooker,television and internet ,everything is just at hand.Just like home.
The location allows you to visit many of Scotland's finest towns and cities and you could never be bored.We love it in Turiff and Banff.The local people and shop owners are very friendly and the coast is breathtaking.Our favourite is Gardentown and Pennan and Portsoy.The Cottage is clean and tidy and very comfortable and warm. There is always a lovely welcome hamper on arrival that are full of Scottish goodies. We are so glad we have found Ardmiddle Mains and Kate. We look forward to many more holidays with her.

We have stayed here (or at the other cottages at Ardmiddle) a number of times. The scenery and location is great and the accommodation excellent with always a welcome hamper. Would thoroughly recommend.

It is a nice cottage. The location is perfect for traveling around Speyside/Aberdeenshire. We loved this cottage, we could start the day as we liked, we can cook... the kitchen was very good equipped! We were so delighted about the welcome-basket, many thanks for that. A clean and cosy home for holidays.

We loved this semi-detached ex-farm workers cottage. It was very quiet and very comfortable. The kitchen/diner/lounge was very well appointed. We stayed for 3 nights to visit family in the area.



Perfect location in beautiful surroundings to explore both the coast and the highlands.

The cottage is well equipped, nothing fails. It is located in a quiet part of the countryside and the only neighbours are the occupants of the other half of the house. Kate is very friendly and helpful. The fireplace with free wood is a bonus.

We always have a wonderful time at Eastwood cottage. Cosy and warm ,in a perfect location and with everything you need close by.Situated within a beautiful part of Scotland and with always something to keep us busy.We love staying at the cottage and will be returning later in the year too.

This cottage is very comfortable and very well equipped. The owner goes the extra mile and we were delighted at the Christmas touches which included a Christmas tree and luxury hamper of goodies. The cottage is very cosy and has an open fire which we couldn't resist using in the evening. We have a small dog and there were lovely walks for him and a garden. It's situated in the middle of the countryside just a short drive from the local town.

As we decided to head north at the last moment and had a look online, we stumbled onto Eastwood cottage purely by chance, and what a find it was.
From the friendly welcome from Kate the owner on arrival to location and the cottage itself, we couldn't have asked for more. The cottage was well equipped with EVERYTHING we left at home. Comfy bed, well equipped kitchen and a reliable heating system to name a few. We even arrived to a basket of local produce which s a nice touch. The garden was very well kept, with lovely flower beds , kids area and even a BBQ. It overlooked fields of wheat, and apart from the odd tractor the adjacent road was virtually free of traffic. Very safe area for children and pets, yes. It is pet friendly as well .it is about 3 miles outside Turriff, which is a beautiful little town which has plenty of shops selling local produce, as well as a not so big Tesco. Ideal for travelling all over the north east, and it is on the whisky trail. Owner Kate Is very knowledgable of the area, so don't be shy about askIng for local information or even suggestions for a day out. We will be back to thIs lovely part of Scotland . And would recommend the cottage it to anyone.

We stayed here for four nights. The cottage is situated in a quiet location with lovely views to the open countryside. The garden is particularly attractive and tidy with a children's play area.
The owner Kate was very welcoming and helpful. While the cottage was generally clean and comfortable it could be a little chilly in the evening, particularly in the bathroom and upstairs bedroom. The kitchen is well equipped though some items (e.g toaster) are a little elderly. There is Wifi which was welcomed by our teenage daughter, but it can be fairly slow. We also felt that the fire detection provision was inadequate. Anyone with small children should also note that the upstairs bedroom opens directly onto a fairly steep stair.
Overall we really enjoyed our stay and had a very relaxing holiday.

While we were only in the cottage over the weekend, and briefly at that (visiting relatives took most of our time) we really enjoyed it. It is in a great location and we really enjoyed being able to get straight out for a walk in the countryside. The walks suggested are great, with wonderful views from the hilltop wood. The cottage was well equipped and comfortable. It helped that the weather was great, especially for the time of year - the cottage could be chilly I suspect - but then, that's to be expected in the north east! The welcome was great and it would be nice to return.

Eastwood Cottage is located in a perfect setting, peaceful and picturesque. For dog owners it is ideal as there are several walks within easy reach. The cottage is clean and well equipped, with every need carered for and the welcome hamper was appreciated. As a suggestion fresh milk in the fridge would have been a bonus, particularly after a long journey.
It is obvious that the cottage has been recently updated with a new fitted kitchen. It could also benefit from a new double bed and pillows as these detracted from the overall comfort of our stay, but perhaps this is next on the list.

Lovely stay in attractive surroundings. Very animal friendly with pleasurable walks nearby. Perfect for a retreat or getaway. Welcome hamper much appreciated addition, Christmas candles lit in window upon arrival was a welcomed personal touch. Few small complaints, new kitchen was done to a very high standard but was slightly unfinished with ill fitting lino and un plastered wall. Overall very enjoyable stay, would definitely return and recommend to others.
