This was mine and my sister's first stay at the Blantyre having stayed for many years at the Spinnaker.
We really enjoyed our stay.
The only things we found that could be improved on were no hand rail in shower cubicle and no slip mat.
We are both in our mid seventies and these changes would make us feel so much safer while showering.

the room was plenty big enough and dog friendly. very clean. customer service exceptional. no breakfast at the hotel but on booking given the option of harbor cafe 100 yards away which is also dog friendly and food brilliant; and can be booked in with the stay, your choice. definitely go again.

The lady I spoke to when booking was lovely and it was an easy process to book. It had a great location as it was really close to the Spa, the beach and my favourite restaurant Salt on the Harbour, but sadly parking is at a premium so I had to park a little way away but at least it was free (a lot of the accommodations you don't get parking so this is a benefit). It was difficult to negotiate the steep, narrow steps with my large case as I was on the second floor (there are other rooms higher) so I think this should probably be mentioned on the site to make people aware as older or less able guests would struggle.
I went for a long weekend because I was seeing Sam Ryder. TBH I was expecting better accommodation for such a high price (I get it was part of the Bank Holiday and the back end of Summer, but I have paid a lot less for accommodation that was not as dated and got a massive breakfast included in the price), so for that price you should really get breakfast.
The room was a great size and comfortable, though there wasn't a table which was a shame as I'd brought my laptop along to do some work.
I saw both of the cleaners. The lady was really friendly and helpful but sadly the gentlemen did not leave a toilet roll in the bathroom despite being asked to do so.

Manager very polite friendly but your rooms let it down very dated major issue making a hot drink on top off wardrobe sink way too big for a small room 1chair for two people so for 85 pound per nite it’s need improvement

Lovly stay apart from asking for toilet paper,windows wouldn't open well,no shower mat, n had to ask for mugs to be cleaned.

Very enjoyable stay. Lovely sea views and very close to all amenities. Staff are really friendly and helpful. Also very dog friendly. I would definitely recommend.
