Built circa 1865, this fascinating house is located in ancient and historic Weston Park, with panoramic views of the Shropshire countryside and Welsh borders. Situated on the far side of the Estate, its top floor sitting room looks over 'Capability' Brown’s stunning 18th century parkland and is within walking distance of the onsite Granary Restaurant.

The Knoll Tower is a breathtakingly beautiful place, character inside and out and stunning views.
We were visited by the Deer on Christmas Day which was a beautiful bonus.
Great walks and stunning scenery, really needs to be experienced to be appreciated. This was our 2nd stay at Knoll Tower and we will be back. Thank you to all the staff who make everything so perfect.

A wonderful escape from the hustle and bustle.
Welcome hamper was fantastic,as was the chef prepared lamb tagine that was waiting in our fridge for us.
We so enjoyed the cosy retreat but loved the exciting staying in a tower too.

For the first time in well over 10 years we had the opportunity to get away without our children so wanted somewhere special and different. This was the perfect place for us to just be together as a couple and forget the world. Beautiful location where we could live out somewhere unusual, gaze at the stars and recharge our batteries. Certainly somewhere we would recommend to others and plan to visit again.

Practical notes:

There are 52 steps from top to bottom. Make sure you are happy with stairs. I’m just under 6ft and except a couple of steps had just enough headroom going down the stairs. Had I been taller I may have had to be more careful.

Shower didn’t work well at all (would give it 1 out of 5) only negative point. I suspect the plumber installed hot and cold backwards as that is a problem with grohe fittings so I’m told (they work backwards). I couldn’t get it to work well at all. Either a tiny flow cold or scalding hot with a reasonable flow. Had to turn on other hot taps to control flow of hot water to get something barely acceptable and took baths from then onwards.

Getting to the tower from the public road was quite a journey. We like escape rooms and it felt like an escape room challenge just getting to the tower. They gave instructions which were fine. We had the extra challenge of navigating a Bestival setup through the journey which added to the fun! It was definitely worth it once we got there.

Really good kitchen setup. Plenty of stuff to cook with - more than enough considering the tower only sleeps two.

Meal on arrival was nice but frugal for the price paid. Lovely hamper. Son in law allergic to feathers in bedding, had to sleep in lounge(no mention in property details). Tranquil, beautiful and unusual location to stay with stunning views and walks around the grounds.
Easy to book and good communication with Kelly throughout, this was a surprise 40th birthday gift for my daughter. Disappointed stay.

We had a wonderful stay at the Knoll Tower. We arrived on a sunny day and to see the tower against blue skies was very special. The knoll was very well equipped and very clean. The meal I had requested was ready in the fridge and was delicious. A birthday cake had also been provided. Although the main house wasn’t open to the public, we were given a private tour despite the house being prepared for a wedding the following day. The Granary team were very friendly and we enjoyed lunch and drinks in the sunshine. The grounds of Weston Park are delightful. A truly wonderful stay.

An absolutely amazing place to stay, it looks good in the photos but is even better in person. The interior is luxuriously fitted out with everything you could want, with a very welcome food hamper included. We loved going up and down the spiral stone staircase, it was just like being in a castle turret but warmer and more comfortable. All of the rooms are lovely but we particularly enjoyed sitting on the roof and in the upstairs lounge with its amazing views. We also enjoyed exploring the setting of beautiful parklands with only sheep disturbing the silence We came for a special birthday and only wished that we could have stayed longer!

This is an incredible property. The views are breathtaking and inspiring. The tower is unique, private, comfortable, and beautiful. The entire setting and the tower are so special that staying there makes you feel like royalty. On top of this, Weston Park has a wonderful restaurant settings and food. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay there and would highly recommend the Knoll Tower and Weston Park. It was a blessing.
