Unique and luxuriously appointed thatched cottage in the ‘Capital of The Broads’, perfect for larger family group holidays and celebrations, boasting private hot tub, games cabin, tree house and secluded enclosed garden to enjoy.

Ground Floor:
Living room: With Smart TV (with Netflix and Disney+) and double sofa bed.
Snug: With Smart TV (with Netflix and Disney+) and double sofa bed.
Kitchen/dining room: With Neff Slide & Hide electric oven, induction hob, gas fired Aga, microwave, two fridges, freezer and dishwasher.
Utility room: With wine fridge, washing machine and tumble dryer.
Conservatory.
Bedroom 4: With single bed.
Bedroom 5: With single bed.
Separate toilet.

First Floor:
Bedroom 1: With king size bed and en-suite with walk-in shower, toilet and heated towel rail.
Bedroom 2: Triple bedroom: Double bed & optional extra 5'9 length single (single bed made up on request)
Bedroom 3 (mezzanine to Snug): With double bed and one single sofa bed
Bathroom: With bath, shower attachment, toilet and heated towel rail.

Gas central heating, electricity, bed linen, towels and Wi-Fi included. 3 x travel cots and 3 x highchairs available on request. Welcome pack. Enclosed lawned rear garden with large patio, sun loungers, tree house, oak outdoor dining table. Hot tub for 5 (private). 3 dogs welcome, more by prior arrangement. Private parking for 4 cars. No smoking.

Please note: There is a fully covered pond with fixed non-removable grid metal safety cover 5 metres from the house. No naked flames inside or near the property (thatched). The aga is turned on by prior request between November 31st to March 1st inclusive.

We stayed over the Christmas period at the Farthings Cottage and had an amazing time! The house was beautiful and Hannah and David really have made it feel like a home from home, from decorating the house for Christmas with a Christmas tree, garlands and table centre pieces to every spice you’d need and milk and butter in the fridge. We were even bought over fresh bread from them which was so thoughtful and absolutely delicious. The house itself again had everything you could think of, the kitchen was fully stocked with everything you’d need to cook on a normal day and we even did a Christmas dinner without needing to bring anything but the food with us! The house was spotless and all the rooms were made up lovely. The washing and dryer were so useful to have for a weeks stay with 13 of us in total and two under 3. David came and checked the hot tub every morning but we were never disturbed and he even left little recommendations on the black board for us which were really lovely and helpful! The house is close to everything you might need, there is a petrol station across the road for little bits and bobs and then it’s only a short walk into wroxham with lots of shops and little cafes. There is also a playground round the corner which was great for the kids to burn some energy off! Hannah and David were very patient before we came as with being so many of us we all had questions and they answered them promptly and even helped us find a Christmas turkey beforehand. We honestly had an amazing time and would love to go back soon! Thank you so much for a wonderful experience.

Recently stayed at Farthings Cottage after finding via Norfolk Dog Friendly stays page. It did not disappoint. A very charming and modern Thatched cottage. The house was very clean, so much information on the house/local area which was very helpful. The summer time would be beautiful in the garden and our dogs loved it, very secure too. The jacuzzi was an added bonus we all enjoyed. Hosts were very easygoing and easy to contact, the fresh loaf of bread on check in day was a bonus!
We organised a private chef to come in and cook on the Saturday night to make the most of being in the house. Wow it did not disappoint, highly recommend Black Door Dining. Location to the town was an easy 10 min walk with everything you need pub, shops, restaurants and coffee stops. It’s such a lovely house the only reason for a 4 star on comfort, there was only one shower in the en-suite of the master bedroom. We were 11 adults so slightly inconvenient, for a smaller family with children I’m sure it wouldn’t be an issue. We also rented a boat on the broads for a few hours which I’d highly recommend for a day out, go to Horning.
Overall 10/10 would recommend.

The cottage itself is aways welcoming even before seeing the display of drinks & gifts from your hosts. It all adds to a warm welcome with the addition now of the ‘treats cabinet’ in the games room which the adults and children all loved. All my family look forward to our weekends at The Farthings and make full use of the garden and hot tub. It has such a secluded feel to it which in itself helps to relax and unwind.

Had a very pleasant week staying at Farthings for a family gathering. Cottage had everything we needed,was situated in a convenient location close to shops and harbour and the local goodies and home made bread were delicious.
Owners were very pleasant and helpful and maintained the hot tub every day.
Would be very happy to stay here again.

All the facilities were really good, however, as it was 14 of us, i felt the no of bathrooms were not enough. there was only one shower and one bath plus a toilet downstairs which made it bit uncomfortable. The sofa bed in Living room 2 wasn't up to the standard, it had very thin mattress. sitting area outside can be improved with some more chairs and table.
for the party of 9- it would be okay.

We had a fantastic stay. The house was perfect. It was clean, welcoming and full of character. Excellent manuals for everything we needed to use. The kitchen was so well stocked with all ages and needs considered for. We absolutely loved the garden. Thanks for a great stay.

We had a lovely family break for my husband’s 60 th birthday. Cottage was lovey very well presented tree house and games room brilliant and hot tub well kept by David . The hot bread that was delivered along with the welcome pack was a very nice touch . So nice to have all our family dogs welcome to we had 4 with us . Thank you once again for a warm and. We enjoyed a large family get together in this superb cottage. It appealed to every age range including the games room and hot tub and the hot bread on the first evening was a winner with everybody. Would definitely recommend.

11 of my family enjoyed a lovey stay in the cottage over the Easter weekend.
From booking to arrival we were kept updated with email and message communications which were detailed and helpful. Upon arrival there was a lovely welcome pack and cottage was lovely and clean. There was everything needed for a comfortable stay……and more. The kids enjoyed the garden the most, making great use of the open space, tree house, hot tub and play room.
The cottage was very spacious with different areas to relax and socialise.
David was very helpful and kind and the warm bread package on our first night was a lovely appreciated touch. We couldn’t fault the accommodation and would definitely return when we get a chance.
A lovely property in a nice location only 10mins from Wroxham.

Absolutely lovely cottage. Big enough for the 12 of us + a large dog for a special birthday weekend. The cottage had everything you would need, including the extra snacks in play room. Loved the little notes left by the hot tub every morning & lovely fresh baked bread kindly delivered on arrival. Have already highly recommended Farthings Cottage to multiple friends & will have no hesitation in booking again.

As always another lovely stay at Farthings. The hot tub constantly in use by all the family. The younger ones enjoyed feeding and watching the fish and drawing with the outdoor chalks. The older youngsters enjoying the company of their cousins whilst playing video & traditional games. The adults just relaxing. The warm welcome and homemade bread is always a winner.
Just a lovely place to stay and meet up with family.

Family time is very important to me. My family and I spent a few days at Farthings, celebrating my eldest daughter’s 30th birthday. The house is welcoming and very homely. So well equipped with everything you need to enjoy your stay. The owners are delightful. We had a wonderful time and would highly recommend a stay at this charming cottage.

This is a fantastic place to book for a cosy, comfortable stay. 12 of us stayed at Farthings for a girls weekend in October and it was the perfect location for us. Through the website we were able to book a private chef to cook for us on the first night, and spa treatments at the cottage on the second day with 3 therapists coming to pamper us. There is everything you could need from kitchen utensils, to books and games, a hot tub and cosy beds. It is also a good location for a stumble into Wroxham. Highly recommend the bottomless brunch at Fizz & Fromage (around 25 min walk).

I am so glad I booked The Farthings cottage for a family weekend break. There was something for each generation. The hot tub was extremely popular tucked away in a beautiful garden. Treehouse and games room for the younger ones, a pond full of fish for the children to feed but built high enough to be safe for the toddler. Everything was immaculate with bedding for the sofa beds in sealed bags ready to be used if needed. The fresh baked bread was a lovely gesture together with the welcome pack. Hannah and family are extremely good hosts and kept me informed all the way from booking to our leaving. Everyone enjoyed themselves and we all had a really lovely stay.

We stayed here with our adult kids, partners,dogs etc. The house is wonderful and we loved the hot tub. Space for even a large group to find quiet space sometimes and a marvellous kitchen and table to share a meal.

Our family of 6 adults and three children aged between 4 and 15 and three dogs found the Farthings ideal for a group like ours, the house felt like a home with lovely communal areas and space for the kids to play and the dogs to laze. Our hosts had gone to every effort to think of everything that a family could want or need in a property. The location was ideal for walking into Wroxham or for exploring the local area. Nice walks for the dogs every morning from the house.
We have stayed at many different properties at home and abroad and would certainly recommend the Farthings.
