Beautifully converted self-contained cottage with two bedrooms, two sitting rooms, a kitchen/diner and three bathrooms. Very quiet and private with access to the various facilities at Manor Farm including snooker room, table tennis and gym.
Ideal for families or couples travelling with or without pets. Also ideal for anyone bringing horses with wonderful walks or rides straight from the property.

This is a very generous sized property with a kitchen on the ground floor, the main living room plus a second room on the first floor, and the bedrooms and bathrooms up a further short flight of stairs. Lots of room for everyone. The property is part of a very large, formerly equestrian, farm with huge paddocks available for you to roam around in - we had a dog with us and he loved it.

The customer service is only marked down because we had some trouble getting in - we found the key with the excellent instructions but someone had left the door bolted from the inside. I tried both phone numbers and only got voicemail which was a bit concerning, but I found the owner's house elsewhere on the farm and fortunately someone was in who let us in through the back door.

Location is only marked down because the village itself has no facilities - pub or shop. But the location generally is fantastic, great walking nearby, good pubs within 10-15 minutes drive (The Compasses is very good), and equidistant between Salisbury and Shaftesbury, very close to Stonehenge and 45 minutes drive from Avebury.

It is obvious that the owners spent a lot of money doing the place up, it is very comfortable and stylish. Would I stay here again - absolutely.

We had a wonderful stay at this beautiful cottage. It was spotlessly clean and incredibly modern, yet still had such a warm, homely feel that we felt relaxed the moment we walked in. It was perfect for our family of four, with plenty of space for us and our two little girls to feel comfortable and at home.

The hosts were fantastic, providing lots of helpful information beforehand which made our arrival and entire stay completely seamless. The location was also ideal for exploring Wiltshire, with so much to see and do nearby. We thoroughly enjoyed our time here and wouldn’t hesitate to return — we’re already looking forward to staying again!

Manor farm is a fabulous find. I’ve stayed twice and travel from Guernsey with my horses for the peace and tranquility and fabulous access to the bridleways and off road riding. This trip I took my husband as I knew he would love the comfort and class of the cottage. David, Jossi and their family can’t help enough I had an issue with one of my horses and they willingly helped me find a solution. Nothing was too much. Thank you again for an amazing, if slightly shortened trip due to the sea conditions travelling home.

We hope you had a good trip home and are very sorry to find that you did not enjoy your stay here with us. We do rather wish that you’d raised your concerns with us directly so that we could have addressed them. We are, after all, on site almost all of the time and indeed you and I chatted a couple times during your stay. If you’d had a problem with the TV or the recycling or anything else for that matter then it would have been helpful if you had mentioned it to me and I would probably have been able to fix it easily and quickly. We don't, unfortunately, have any control over how frequently the Council empty the recycling bins. With regard to the Damage Deposit, our Ts & Cs state that we return it after 7 days. In fact I repaid it to you after 3 days within minutes of you providing me with your bank details. I'm sorry that you thought that the outdoor furniture was not as clean as you would have wished. It is outdoors and therefore can get dusty. I had a look at the cushions when I received your review and, yes, there was one small bird dropping on one of the cushions. We're so sorry about that. Anyway, we do value feedback both positive and negative and we’re sorry that you didn’t enjoy your stay.

Stable Cottage is one of the best cottages we have stayed in. It is very comfortable, well equipped and there are beautiful walks from the farm in the surrounding countryside. The games facilities are great too and it was perfect for our dog. We'll definitely return.

The Stable Cottage was a lovely stay. Large rooms, well appointed and very cute. It's located in a tiny village by Salisbury so convenient for touring the countryside. The gym is well equipped and nice property (with llamas).

Wonderful 5 days spent in stable cottage. We had our two horses with us and had travelled from the Channel Islands.
The riding out from the farm was first class, as were the riding facilities at the farm. The horses had a lovely, relaxed stay and we couldn’t have asked for a better quality of accommodation. I would very much like to return.

It's gorgeous. Jossi has created an environment where you feel as though hosting people brings her genuine joy rather than just an income. The quality of Stable Cottage is as high as you could hope for. It's spacious and generous and the aesthetic is fabulous. The kitchen is absolutely the heart of it, looking out over the central yard with lovely welcoming treats for humans and pets. The homemade sourdough bread is really good. The utility areas and additional downstairs loo makes managing family and pets easy. The upstairs lounges (yes two) literally invite you to relax and regenerate... the sofas are high quality and very comfortable, the furnishings are chic and homely and make the whole place feel like a treat. The bedrooms are airy and the bedding is deliciously generous - lovely big duvets and pillows and the best crisp hotel-level cotton covers... the towels and toiletries are also really good quality and eco-friendly too... yeah, this sounds too good to be true and that's how we felt when we stayed.

Lovely hosts, great cottage, picture postcard village in a beautiful county. We have stayed at many cottages over the years and this is definitely one of the best. Liking variety, we have never stayed at the same place twice but we have all talked about going back to either this cottage or the new one they the owners are developing. As people who thinks dogs are a part of the family the extra dog touches provided were the best we have seen.

We absolutely loved our 2 night stay here and will definitely return for a longer break next time. The cottage is beautifully decorated and furnished and has everything you need. The beds were so comfy and everything was spotless. We enjoyed the honey, eggs and butter waiting for us (and the chocolate eggs were a nice touch for Easter!). The grass area in the courtyard directly outside the cottage was also perfect for our Beagle Maisy (she even sniffed out a hedgehog!). We also managed to make use of the snooker table and gym equipment which are an added bonus. It's a great location - easy to find and within easy reach of so many places. We visited Salisbury and Lulworth Cove. We came with our grown up children but it would be great for younger families too. We didn't meet Jossi during our stay but she messaged to check all was ok throughout our stay and always replied promptly to any queries.

Our family (from the US) brought our two oldest daughters to England for a week . . . we are so grateful we decided to spend a couple of days outside of London and ended up staying at Manor Farm! Surpassed expectations in every way!

* The Stable Cottage was perfect. Comfortable, clean, a recent renovation of an older stable, with everything well done -- not even a squeaky stair! Used the woodburning fireplace one evening -- just lit the fire that was already pre-built. Couldn't have been easier.

* The hosts are fabulous. Home-grown honey, local butter and fresh-baked sourdough bread on the kitchen table when we arrived. Always available, and yet happy to give us space to enjoy the farm as well. D joined me on an impromptu walk with his dogs one morning, And J invited our daughters into her kitchen to see newly hatched chicks the next evening. We left after just 2 nights feeling like we had new friends in Wiltshire.

* The area is beautiful. Rolling fields, well-kept hedges, thatched roofs and country roads. Almost like out of a story book, with walking paths you could follow for miles. For my American friends, it felt like the horse country of Virginia or Kentucky had met Colonial Williamsburg, except the nearby inn (an hours' walk, 10 minute drive) where we had dinner dates back to the 14th century!

We used Manor Farm as a base to enjoy the countryside and investigate nearby attractions like Stonehenge, Bath, and Glastonbury, as well as several nearby castle ruins. But could easily have stayed a week just enjoying the country and the people. We definitely hope to be back! If you stay here, you will not regret it.

Jossi was most helpful and welcoming during our recent stay. Stable cottage was very comfortable, spotlessly clean and very spacious. It has been very well converted.
We brought our 2 dogs and Jossi kindly let us use their dog safe paddock to exercise them which was very much appreciated.
Our daughter and family have recently moved to the village so hopefully we will be staying at Stable Cottage again.

Stable Cottage was excellent. Plenty of room for a family or two couples, this is a beautifully-refurbished cottage in a huge barn conversion. We were greeted by lots of small welcoming touches (fab home-made marmalade and honey; local bread, butter and milk; tea, coffee, sugar and cereal to get you going if you've forgotten anything).
The kitchen has all the facilities you need.
The two bathrooms are first rate, with lovely soft towels and plenty of hot water. The internet is good.
It's also in a great location, just off the lovely village of Teffont Magna.
Highly recommended.
