Arrived late afternoon and had a quiet nice wrapped up on the decking getting ready to fish the next day. Nice and peaceful even though a bit chilly. Next day weather was kind and even though we were disappointed my husband didn’t get any bites at all we had a good day relaxing. Cooking dinner was a bit of a chore but we used the microwave for an m and. S dine in meal deal. A welcome treat was the starter pack of farm eggs some bread etc .
We didn’t leave the lodge until we left today and stopped off at coffee shop to pay for the day of fishing.
The lodge and the environment was wonderful...more
Our third stay at Mallard Lodge and we’re already wishing we could stay longer. Every visit somehow feels even more special than the last. The fishery/ lodges look absolutely stunning—honestly more beautiful each time, which we didn’t think was possible.
We couldn’t recommend this place enough. It’s the perfect escape, and we’re already planning a return trip in the summer. A truly unforgettable stay! Thank you Alex & Alex xxx
We booked this lodge as it’s near our daughter’s home to visit them. The lodge was compact but well equipped in beautiful quiet setting. Good communication both before and at the end of our trip. It would have been helpful to have lights on the drive especially by speed bumps as we often walked back late in the dark. Overall great place to stay and will definitely be booking again.
This was my first visit and I was a solo visitor. Robin lodge, like all the lodges, is very private and quiet. It's stylishly furnished with everything you could need. You would never think that you're close to the A36 (couldn't hear it) and there are some lovely walks/pubs near by. I found it a magical, tranquil spot and will undoubtedly book again.
We stayed at Oak Lodge for a few days just after Christmas and had a fantastic time.
Our two young children loved the animals (particularly the chickens) and really enjoyed exploring the grounds.
The location is brilliant.
You can easily access the new forest and find plenty of walking routes within a 10 minute car drive.
Canada common is about 5 minutes drive away and get for children to explore.
We visited Paulton's Park during our stay which is only a 5 min drive away.
I would highly recommend Headlands for a short stay, we will certainly be returning in the future.
