Welcome to our seven beautifully restored 5 star self catering cottages in Cornwall, situated a short walk to the village of Chapel Amble near Polzeath and the magnificent North Cornwall coast, surrounded by peaceful Duchy farmland.
We have returned after 30 years to a changed set of cottages which offer a feeling of being at home. Rob and Gill were very helpful. We were very lucky with fantastic weather, eating outside for every meal, making friends with Darcy the dog and so close to beaches and restaurants.
This was the second year running we have stayed at Honeysuckle Cottage and enjoyed it very much again. The weather was extremely hot and the cottage was perfect for us to relax at during the afternoons after going out in the morning to walk the dog and enjoy lunch locally. We love the place and the owners are very friendly and helpful and the cottage and enclosed garden are perfect for a couple and a dog!
We also got to see the barn owls nesting in the barn behind the cottage along with the swallows and larks.
Thank you Gill and Rob.
Rob and Gill were very helpful and we had a wonderful week with amazing weather. The properties proximity to beaches and other destinations makes this an ideal place to take the grandchildren. There was plenty of space and it was a very safe place to allow them to play freely. It is well equipped for a relaxing place to stay. Our favourite part was sitting on the decking watching the birds skimming across the field as the sun went down and spotting a Barn Owl.
This was one of our many stays at Rooke Cottages - we are usually on our own (+ dog) and stay in Honeysuckle cottage. However, on this occasion we had our 6 year old grandson with us and needed extra space. Walnut provided this and the 2 bathrooms were appreciated. As usual, the cottage was comfortable and well equipped and the good size enclosed garden was safe for the 6 year old and his best friend - Izzy the labrador. It's locaton at the end of the development was ideal and peaceful overlooking fields. Walnut is also close to the childrens playground.
As always, Rob and Gill were welcoming...more
Our stay in Meadow was a first for us but we have been coming to Rooke Farm with our 2 dogs since 2014 and this was our 13th visit........we have also stayed in 2 other cottages during that time. This in itself should tell you everything! We love it here and now come 2/3 times per year. It truly feels like one's second home and Rob and Gill are the most hospitable hosts! There is so much to explore on the doorstep, we never run out of things to do and this year we walked up to St. Kew Farm Shop & Cafe (which their daughter Sarah owns) for breakfast - it takes roughly an hour and we were r...more
