Delightful, though snug with 5 adults. Lovely location, very close to a nice pub and a farm shop. Close to beaches.
This was our third visit to Rooke Cottages, and once again, it did not disappoint. This time we stayed in Jasmine Cottage — it was absolutely perfect. The cottage is spacious, very cosy and has every home comfort you could wish for, from a well-equipped kitchen to a super king-sized bed that was very comfortable. We especially enjoyed the homemade scones waiting for us on arrival. The private, enclosed garden was perfect for our dog. We booked this beautiful property for a 1 week holiday in October. We thought it would be perfect for having long days out embracing the autumn weather and then having a lovely cosy cottage to return to and enjoy evenings in all snuggly and warm - and we were not disappointed! This is a beautiful cottage, extremely tastefully furnished and well equipped with all you need for self-catering (although we were lazy and ate our at local pubs and restaurants most days). The latest of many visits to Rooke and the Courtyard. Rob and Jill are excellent hosts, and the quality of the cottages guarantees a wonderful and relaxing stay. Can’t recommend highly enough.
One of four cottages for a large family group. Walnut was for my 88yr old father and my adult Son to share. It gave them a fantastic, independent space, with a bedroom each, where they could retreat for some quiet time whenever they wanted. A lovely character cottage with a charming garden.
To be fair we didn’t find this lovely property until we had a panic on our hands as another property cancelled on us 9 days before we were due to arrive (nothing related to this property). The reason I mention it is because we were last minute bookers and everything was sorted perfectly got our arrival. Plenty of parking space, clear directions, great location for visiting local area. Plenty of room in the property for us all and a secure space outside which unfortunately we didn’t make use of due to the weather. We would definitely recommend this location.
