We have returned after 30 years to a changed set of cottages which offer a feeling of being at home. Rob and Gill were very helpful. We were very lucky with fantastic weather, eating outside for every meal, making friends with Darcy the dog and so close to beaches and restaurants.
We had a really relaxing stay in the beautiful and deceptively spacious Honeysuckle Cottage, which was really well equipped and carefully thought through with a lovely garden. There was a lovely welcome pack of scones, with jam, clotted cream etc at the cottage when we arrived . The cottage and surrounds are really peaceful and quiet, even though other cottages were close. Parking and access are also excellent. Located a few miles from Wadebridge and Padstow as well as some lovely beaches and St Enodoc's church where John Betjeman is buried, other attractions are very accessible. Jenna and her...more
The best hosts in Cornwall, lovely location and beautiful cottages. Very welcoming to dogs and a short walk to the local pub!
We have stayed at Rooke Cottages several times and will definitely return. The cottages are well equipped, immaculately clean and we always receive a warm welcome. There is plenty to do in the area for all ages and many places to eat out. Highly recommended for all ages. Dogs are welcome and bowls and blankets are provided.
Our family of 4 + dog stayed in Walnut Cottage this summer and loved our stay. The cottage itself was a good size for us, well furnished/stocked and had a nice garden. Situated in amongst the fields, on a farm, it’s a very relaxing spot with plenty of space. There was even a kids playground which our kids enjoyed playing in whilst looking out on the sheep. We also enjoyed watching the owls in the barn on camera. It’s a very convenient location for exploring lots of beaches - Rock, Polzeath etc and close to Wadebridge if you need to shop. We will definitely be going back!
Another first class experience of staying at Rooke Cottages. We have chosen a different cottage every time and this year was Meadow. We have two dogs and staying here is just so simple. Stand outside and listen to nothing but the birds. Wonderful. Thoroughly recommend it. There is also a village pub about 5 mins walk away!
