We have stayed in the majority of the Lodges at the Tranquil Otter. This new Lodge has been taken to another level and is stunning in every aspect. We were greeted on the decking by two swans and an army of ducks and they were there the majority of the week which made it the most amazing views throughout the day. This was a really restful break and would definitely recommend this five star Lodge.
We enjoyed every minute of our 4 night stay in the Egret Lodge. It was the perfect place to relax and enjoy nature. The lodge had everything you could want, comfy beds, hot tub and sauna and a fabulous view across the Lough. There was a lovely walk through the woods surrounding the Lough and plenty of birdlife to see. The staff were really helpful and the whole site was well run, a real credit to them. We can't wait to visit again!
The Tranquil Otter team are the most amazing people they just make your stay the most important the gadwall lodge is beautiful insidecand out so clean inside everything you need and stunning views with amazing wildlife friendly ducks, swans and so many birds. Tranquil Otter never stops being a great place to stay. We stayed in the Dunnock, which is perfect and cosy. Spotlessly clean, with everything you need and so peaceful. We met the friendly birds, ducks and swans and Nick, who’s the owner popped by to say hello, which was lovely. We’ll be back next year! Fabulous place to stay. Love it!

Beautiful place, Clean and tidy, smelled lovely when we walked in. Had everything we needed and perfect for a nice relaxing get away. Would definitely recommend and will be back for another stay.
This is our third time staying at the Tranquil Otter, and this has been the best. The Alder Lodge is beautiful and no matter the weather, it’s amazing to stay there and switch off a little from the world.
Loved our stay, surroundings are beautiful. Very difficult to find via sat nav as it takes you to the bird of prey centre and you almost miss the entrance as its very difficult to see. I would say some of the additional charges seem steep such as early check in you practically lose a day being unable to check in till 4pm so a £40 charge to get in earlier is high given its expensive to stay overall. Lovely stay overall and the ducks are great !
I love visiting Tranquill Otter (8 times now i think). So peaceful and relaxing. This time year offers the cosiness of a log burner and a soak in the hot tub under the stars. Plenty of wildlife to watch. Will definitely be back again.
