Peace, luxury, an outstanding view - we hoped for all three and in all three our hopes have been surpassed. Our luxury Scottish lodge sits high up above the pretty fishing village of Lochinver which edges the loch below a backdrop of tree-clad hills and beyond, the Assynt mountain range characterised by stunningly shaped Suilven and Canisp.

I could write a long story on Waterloo Lodge about how good it is but will sum it up with “Outstanding in all respects “. Just BOOK IT and see for yourself. Everything we wanted from a holiday in the Highlands and more. We did have the advantage of a perfect week of weather but it wouldn’t have made a difference on us enjoying the lodge. I will also say that this is the best self catering accommodation we have stayed in.
